7/26/2022......On Kirkwood in Bloomington in 1967 by Christine Friesel

Christine Friesel of the Monroe County Public Library gives a program titled ON KIRKWOOD IN 1967. Photos of 1967 have resurfaced. 1967 was the year that the local GE plant started producing side by side refrigerators, the Central Jr High fire, a county-city building was planned, and expansion was planned for the airport, Indiana Bell, and the Public Library. Christine gives background and a new view of old on Kirkwood in 1967. Christine has spoken to the Monroe County History Club several times the past few years and her programs are always well received.
