I’ve been using the BR600-700-800 for many years now and I’m yet to have an engine failure. Also never adjusted valves on them. Had a coil and a carb go bad but that’s about it. Also my go to pole saw is the HT-131 and never any issues with them except for running one over with the bucket truck. Lol 😆
You have to check the valve clearance on 4-Mix engines. It's not so much dictated by years of ownership as hours of usage. Same thing for any engine which doesn't have hydraulic lifters.

@@H0kieJoe well, the 4-mix is the Germans effort, not the EPA’s. On one hand it’s over complicated and on the other it’s missing the most basic concept.
