Nuggets dont need a sub par shooter in Smart. Their starting PG is coming back. They have good defense already. They just need to stay healthy. Both MPJ and Jokic have improved since that crazy bubble run. Healthy Nuggets are a contendor, and Facu can come off the bench as a humongous spark with others like Hyland and Rivers.
After watching Faccu for last two years since he arrived in Denver let me break it down about him - good third option point guard but he is flawed as a player - he plays hard defense, problem is that frustrates some and others have no problem cooking him - he a good passer but he a sorry shooter and can't finish at rim due to his size - he plays hard and hustles but he makes mistakes after mistake. For every good game I saw Faccu play I would see 2 average games followed by 5 horrible get him off the floor now games. It's no surprise nuggets started winning when Faccu was put on the bench. His offense is just to much a liability. You could make a 8 minute highlight video on the dumb mistakes he has made as well.. he tries hard and since he is little most people root for him but he will probably be back in Europe next year or maybe the year after if some other team gives him a chance but One percent chance he returns to Denver. Markus Howard is being trained to be the little guy that Malone likes
