A former Tuscumbia Police Officer who hit and killed a pedestrian while driving under the influence will now spend 20 years in jail.

I think 20 years is too much. Yes, I know the reasons and opinions. Get past that. Why does our system give lesser sentences to more violent offenders. Ive seen murderes given less than 7 years and they had hearts as dark as night. This officer will have an impossible drowning weight even after death because of his shame and guilt.
We are all human regardless of position because pressure and pain can make ANY person forget rules and regulations. I’m sorry for the loss for both sides.
