0:15 The duration of that transformation flash... it really feels like some ancient, primordial Titan force has just been awakened for the first time in 2,000 years.
I could not agree more, was just how i imagined it in my head after a year of filling in the gaps from not reading the manga, waiting for this to happend. Perfection
And with the clouds parting and all it feels like the planet itself felt it too
And You're exactly right my guy, it is the only second time the real founding Titan stepped on land the ones before barely even tapped into the founder's true strength, that's why grisha said royal family don't have the founder's full strength
MAPPA nailed this scene
yes, because it just did…
The fact that this episode is called “From you, 2000 years ago” which is in reference to the very first episode “To you, 2000 years from now” makes this scene more bone chilling.
Haha, BONE chilling
In the very first ep - u'll see Eren's father looking pale at the door step when Eren is in front of him.
Later, when Eren travels back in time it's revealed that he was able to see Eren from the future.
Truly bone chilling.
Because this was ALL Ymir and her vengeance. Ymir was always the one in control, but only the Ymir freed by future Eren, which meant she needed to make it all happen to free herself. Eren himself was never free
Wtf does that even mean? Trash anime. Make things up as they go smh

Eren's eyes moving to look at Zeke after the spine attached has to be the scariest thing I've seen in any Anime. MAPPA, you are something else.
Ive rewatched it and it still gets me

@@sSomeonne I mean the fact that is shown that he is in full control again even though he just lost his head makes this scary and what's even worse that this is the same guy who wanted to destroy the titans so humans can be left alone. But when i ask him what character he likes or what scene is his favourite he doesn't even remember. So tell me how can i believe people when they say aot is overrated i mean this dude literally has a disease and he refuses to admit he's at fault, he's being biased why not watch both series and write important points down. My point being there must be something that's making you call aot overrated. Maybe your expectations were ruined, maybe you don't like shows that get popular, maybe you were not in mood when you watched aot, maybe you watched some people saying aot overrated and you felt more inclined towards them. It can be anything but i assure you when you really are in the mood of a rewatch, give it a try it will be a different experience from the previous one :P
@@billybro1403 maybe we can say that AOT is overhyped for the right reasons though
It becomes truly incredible when you realize how fast this stuff actually went down. In real time, Gabi's POV for an example, This all went down in less than 2 seconds. Eren even looked and grabbed Zeke before the speed of light. The power of the PATHS

the most badass part of this scene is the roar at 1:12; that’s how the founding titan controls its titans, through screams. eren is telling the wall titans “it’s time to march”
I’ll admit, The Founding Titan form isn’t the most conventional Titan form but damn I’ll admit it looks badass. Puts the Colossal Titan to shame in size
It doesn’t need to be conventional it’s sheer size and army it can command is enough
It came out looking that way cause eren was decapitated if he was attached to his body it would be a giant skeleton based off of ymirs founding titan
It only looks like that because Eren’s head was shot off so far away and the spine had to reconnect
Bro if Gabi didn't shoot eren
Just imagine what erens founding Titan would have looked like ?

Nahhh..
Гроход, гроход!

Eren's Founding Titan design has got to be the best character design from an anime I've seen, period. So much symbolism and yet makes SO MUCH SENSE from the narrative perspective as well.
Symbolism - Eren's massive rib cage looks like a giant bird cage. Obviously, Eren = Bird seeking freedom from a cage has been symbolism that we've been exposed to for the entire series. And yet, Eren himself is dangling like a marionette on the side of the birdcage, tied to it with strings of destiny - all he ever wanted to is freedom, but even now that he has all the power in the world he is still nothing more than destiny's pawn, tied to his fate, unable to fully leave the cage, following him everywhere and restraining him like a massive shadow.
Narrative - This titan is the true form of Hallucigenia. Hallucigenia is a worm that has no creativity on its own, it was always dependent on Ymir for the titan designs from the very start. Now that Ymir is free and she refuses to make any more titans, Eren's Founding has to look pretty much like a default form that would be more natural to the Hallucigenia worm - so it just replicates itself, and combines it with a human form in a weird, mutated way. This is why Eren also looks like a giant, massive worm walking on hundreds of legs.
It's perfect. Saying THIS MUCH to your audience/readers through a transformation... Isayama is a freakin genius. I mean every other anime just makes their characters more cool looking, buff or changes their hair color... AOT really is on another level with its storytelling.
It is also worth mentioning Scandinavian mythology, from where Isayama drew his inspiration (the ancestor of Ymir, Yggdrasil => Paths, 9 worlds=>9 Titans, 3 walls=>3 levels of Yggdrasil, Ragnarok=> Rumbling, etc.). The titan form of Founder Eren is a Naglfar- a ship made of nails/bones of the dead, going to the last battle against the aces (gods).Eren is a huge ship made of bones
bro u cant go that far, monster garou, snakeman luffy, gear 5 luffy, boundman, asura, kyuubi and many more are better imo

For anybody wondering " how come gabi didnt burn instantly after eren transform?" Its only titan muscle or that red skin that appears on certain titan shifts that burns
Eren becomes a walking skeleton
He didnt hqve any skin until the whole shift was done and it was only on his head
and plot armor of course
If you think about it, if Eren did actually choose to give his titan body skin and muscle, it probably would’ve killed absolutely everyone in the district, which is not what he wants. He made a smart choice in choosing to give himself only bone

1:12 Goosebumps
I love how Armin (and so is everyone else) was so split emotionally, that they thought "they won" with the most displeased and terrified expression on their faces..
Because there really wasn't much of a option, be destroyed or help Eren Destroy.. They knew what they were choosing, but they have given up hope, basically accepting madness.. Until, well until the gang has reunited ofc and started believing and flashing out the plan as to "how" can it be saved.
1:12 that's what I call a monster's shout. Always get the chills over this.
Wish we could get more of these until the end of the season.

Eren's founding titan form si so utterly disturbing and uncanny... The author has a talent for unsettling, visceral designs. God I love this series and the plot is better than I ever thought it could be when I started watching season 1. The wait for part 3 will be absolutely agonizing.
This episode had me rolling I can’t even explain my hype right now 😩The animation is so good! I was a bit scared, to be honest, but oh man, they killed it!! The colossal look so terrifying!! Can't believe it's being animated. History is being made!!! :D
You've got to admit Eren got his revenge in the end and after always listening to others he made himself have the final word. Everything revolves around him. Everything good or bad that comes after is because of him.
This is one anime I don’t regret skipping.
Fun fact (A little spoiler)
As the centipede acquires Eren's head, it also captures Zeke who then starts the Rumbling, because Zeke has the Royal's blood who can activate the power of the Founding Titan. Meaning that Zeke not only survived the wall collapse but he is inside Eren's Titan.

"And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him."
This episode was fire! Eren's titan roar while transforming, the animation, the soundtrack, the red sky , the marching of thousands of colossal titans to trample the earth, the way the transformation lightning of the Founding Titan is much stronger and the way it shows the beginning of devastation. I also liked the added detail of Eren getting hold of Zeke before transforming. We all had been waiting for this and I have to say this was worth the wait. Well done Mappa! When your story contains fictional science, magic, etc, the more important to the story it is, the more the story suffers if you don't properly explain how it works. Consider Gandalf's magic vs Harry Potter magic. The former can pull off random bullshit with very little explanation, but it's fine because it's not super important to the plot.
