Toddzilla has really funny moment when he grab Heta Morris hand and rub his own head by that hand, lol. Even Heta Morris smiling and shake his head at that moment he didn't see that coming.
Todd really did pin him like 8 times oh my goodness the reffing is...a hard job. Also the legend Ryan Bowen doesn't know how to put a belt on lol. Cool match nonetheless!
Todd is really one of a kind. For any other armwrestler, your opponent gets high in the hand at center table and has the leverage to stop your attack. Todd can get in those dicey situations and just go sideways out of nowhere. He's like an armwrestling loophole.
The reason Todd can hit to the side like that is because he has small levers. A long lever would work against you in this style of pulling putting more torque on your arm. Long levers are better for outside or high pulling where you can use that height as an advantage.
I remember that year that WAL put Todd in the superheavyweight because he was too dominant in his category. On the brute force level he outclassed guys like Devon and Mask
Honestly impressed at how Maate did considering how we all thought Todd was just going to totally steamroll him. Surprisingly good war. Great production.
I like the rules in this match, similar to WAL. Running foul doesn't stop the match, and if you get a running foul and won, it's a restart, running foul and lose, it's a loss. Makes sense
I dont get how todd’s arm doesn’t just break. Its so impressive pulling superheavy weights with his hand over the shoulder in an arm break position, especially after Zurab’s recent injury.
A lot of people that know him in person say that he was overtrained, some say he didn't sleep well before the competitions due to something... Which might be the cases
Pretty cool how these matches take place in an octagon! Cool that Maatei got a win considering everyone thought Todd would flash him 3 times but of course Toddzilla still a powerhouse with that sideways drive as usual
ye its pretty stupid, if the only reason was for convinience its also pretty silly since the cages arent great for viewing even if youre close-seated. you watch the screens 90% of the time. maybe theres some reason but its anything but "cool".
The Fouls by Heta holy moly.. In that Kingsmove his arm is almost compeltely straight and his elbow is 5cm behind the pad bleeding Todd out like wtf and still Todd manages to win 🤦🏻♂️😮💨
I dont understand why Maateiwarangi goes for the Kings Move, the dude is 170KG and a monster Bench Presser, it would make more sense for him to Press so he can utilize all of his strenght. Or a posting toproll would make sense also imo.
I enjoyed this ppv more than any of the others Firstly a great idea to set up in the octogon aded to the atmosphere and it was a good presentation and reffing done was done exceptionally well unlike EvW and the commentary was top notch this is how arm wrestling should be done...will watch this show again...when is the next one?
Maatei did a lot better than i thought. He didn't get flash pinned and Toddzilla was exhausted by the time he got the win. If Maatei works his endurance (loses weight maybe) it could help him level up a bit.
I expected Todd to flash pin him so the fact that his pronator held up so well and stopped him shows how strong Maate is. I expect to see more of him on the world level. He was also composed. Great work!
I don't think maatewarangi has been doing it that long, has he? He's got insane base strength, but yea if he gets stronger in those arm wrestling fundamentals, he can be pretty good for sure
@nickdefab well then yea I don't think we will see him at the top super heavy then. I mean he's not bad. If you compare him to like genadi, or revaz, or other top 10 guys yea, but if he went to most tournaments he'd destroy. If he's already got 10 years in then I just don't see him ever being a contender for those top spots. The competition up there is ridiculous right now.
This happened to me last time. I paid for the PPV and watched it when I had time last night. Then this morning I see the biggest match posted for free. At least Engin waits a week or so. I never watch any of these promotions live anyway because I am a busy person. I want to support AW, but also I don't want to pay for stuff I can just get free a handful of days later.
Just to be clear I have bought every KOTT, EvW, AWE, and some Armwars PPVs. As someone who supports Arm Wrestling with his hard earned money, I think it would be nice to wait longer than one day to release the footage for free. I get that it's a fine balance. If you wait too long people lose interest and the bootleggers have to be constantly dealt with.

Interesting match on good on Todd for the win! But truly "king's move" matches are tough to watch always. Engin is right, it really is "the desperation move".

Great match, I'm not too familiar with Maateiwarangi but it seems like his elbow drops of the back of the pad a few times in this match and they didn't call it all of the time. I saw one other match where it was challenged but the commentators were claiming he has "big elbows". Is this something he does a lot with his elbow "very close" to being off the pad?
I'm not sure who surprises me more these days, Todd or John. Both legends in their own rights. Let me tell you though, Todd has been facing otherworldly competition in a lot of his recent matches and blasting through them. Not to take anything away from John. What i have seen from this match is that todd,is good pound for pound but his arms are so short that he finds it extremely difficult to pin morris. Most of his match end up like this its like he pull down 90% of it but that 10% he cant do it easily due to short arms
That was way more entertaining than I thought it would be. Great job from Maateiwarangi. Really cool to see Todd Hutchings in these events. I think everybody knew this was a mismatch and they were giving him a bit more leeway for a competitive match.
Exactly!! I said the same thing! It’s a joke
He has a very large arm, the inside of his arm was on the pad.
Was searching for this exact comment 😁
the cage setup is nice, just cause the pullers are up high and people can surround it from all angles and it just looks cool
