Magic hasn't really been OP since ds2 tbh. I feel like people play with friends, in an enviroment where they're never being targetted and get to spam strong projectiles and just assume that's all there is to it, but realistically, you have to split up your stats (and even estus flasks in later titles) for a finite resource that can be missed, if not dodged or strongly resisted by a bunch of bosses, you're cutting down your choice of weaponry, often dealing split damage with said weapons, you're likely sacrificing health, stamina and/or armor, you're probably gonna need some rings for spellcasting, attunement or just straight up damage, often times some kind of stat boosting armor for the same reason... it's A LOT of investment for an utility that is not really as strong as a physical build in most scenarios. Again, unless you have friends to hide behind during bossfights. And don't get me started on pvp. Your real enemy is fromsoft's netcode, not the spells themselves.
@@sweetkimond Very bad analogy. Melee build can easily beat the game without using magic or infusions, dealing great amount of damage to any boss. Any type of caster can't do such thing. Balance issue.

Yeah it was op only in ds1
I mean... Fume knight is literally inmune to everything and even in the wiki it says he has "extremely high fire resistance"
I mean... What if you wanted to beat the game with pyromancy 🤔
@@Skooffy bring a backup weapon, or get ready for a long fight lol
@@garrettdixon9563 Too bad that playthrough was with pyromancy spells only

W-why can’t I run though like… like what if I WANTED to run like this like… this isn’t fair…

Idk what's more impressive, killing fume knight with pyro or making a ds2 video im 2024
makes a meme about sorcery and shows pyromancy footage instead
I can't see "sorcery" in the title.
P.S. Wait for the 3rd part with Old Smelter Demon
@Skooffy lol I don't remember mages being in dark souls
@@RoachdoggJR555 Ofc I could use "casters" instead, but "mages" is a better word for the yt algorythm.
