    The modularity of the Staccato (e.g., ability to change grips) is a big difference that anyone should consider. You cannot change that on the Platypus.

      You make a fair point, although the ability to customize in every color under the sun has attracted a lot of folks to the platypus. Granted it's novel and adds really no benefit other than aesthetics but nowadays consumers do appreciate the ability to personalize a pistol never mind that it shoots well too. But I think being able to change grips would be a welcomed feature and lets face it, Staccato has a good reputation and very much field tested.

    I don’t have a P. I do have a C2 limited w/ comp. It’s longer than my XC. But I just got a platy.
    I’m disabled, so my buddy it be different. For me, the C2, is better than the platy. The slide for me is the main reason. The C2 is just easier for me.
    The platy is way better than my Glock, and shadow systems (which I dislike) it is smooth and accurate. Now I love all my guns( not the shadow) lol lol

      I have the C2 but no comp and I love it! The platy just shoots well. But each shooter is different. I just got my first shadow yesterday. I’ll tell you how it goes. Hope you subscribed! I have more content I think you’ll like coming up!

      I believe the C2 uses their “light” recoil spring (not sure the # spring or the weight). Likely adding to the ease of racking the slide. Now, From what I understand (going to test by purchasing new springs someday) the Platypus uses a #12 recoil spring for extra reliability. That’s one reason why everyone seems to have darn near 100% reliability with the platypus, even with +p defensive ammo which Sometimes causes 2011’s with lighter recoil springs some hang ups I.e. stovepiping & not going into battery completely. But switching to a #10 spring, you will likely make the slide easier and smoother to rack and so long as you’re not running +p ammo, you shouldn’t see a drop in reliability 👍 this is all from what I’ve read in the forums and watched from videos of people who switch to lighter springs.

    I have both and accuracy is literally the same. One day you do better with Staccato, another day with Platypus. The only differences are: 1) Platypus have cheaper mags, 2) my Staccato works perfect for last 5 years and 10.000 rounds, and Platypus broke in less then a month and less then 500 rounds so I doubt they know 100% what they are doing and would not recommend anyone use it as EDC.

    I am looking at looking at the Bul Armory SAS II Tac 5, but the Platypus has my attention. Just don't know if I want to wait 20 weeks or possibly more. Never held one and grip cannot be changed. Have you tested the Bul Armory SAS II Tac pistol? What are your thoughts on the Platypus vs the Bul Armory SAS II TAC pistol?

    • @RazorMP_Official
      @RazorMP_Official  5 месяцев назад +3

      So I’ve ordered the SAS II, I’ve held it but haven’t shot one yet. You can find the platy in the wild on gunbroker if customizing is not important to you. The SAS II has a good reputation but I’ll let you know soon! The Platy I promise is worth the money.

    You can order a sub 3 lb competition trigger from the factory when building the Platypus. The standard trigger on the Stac's are about 4 LBS, so most get the triggers re done for competition.

    • @RazorMP_Official
      @RazorMP_Official  3 месяца назад +1

      Correct, I believe that Staccato's platforms were targeted as duty pistols and therefore the triggers were geared toward duty carry weights. With the popularity of their 2011 (1911DS) and Limited Optics added to groups like USPSA...you have folks changing those triggers

    Canadians aren't allowed to have hand guns shooting projectiles over 211 feet per second if its a replica hand gun.
