- In this weeks video I explore the most incredible abandoned Château I have ever filmed from my channel.. the places was amazing and still had everything left from its previous owners! but as i was near the end of the explorer something scared me that made me run out crapping myself! Yeah that was really creepy because when you were up there the door was open and then it just slammed and then started banging
im a sceptic too and always wanting to know more if ghosts exist, but this is a very honest scene that cant be denied.
What a beautiful place…aside from the creepy attic space…funny how you sensed something was not quite right before the door started opening and closing 🤔just goes to show how your gut instinct is never wrong. Great explore Colin & well done for getting out of there so quickly without falling over anything 👍❤️
I have a feeling that some locals decided to have a Halloween party in the old "Haunted Mansion", then found out real quickly that sometimes, unexplained things happen. Unexplained like creepy feelings that hit you suddenly, followed by doors slamming on their own. Looks like they left as quickly as you!
Exactly my thoughts too - weird they left their equipment though. Definitely adds to the mystery of the place.
I dont know how you kept your nerve for so long on your own . All the old photos it breaks my heart to see them just there and lost . Keep up the great videos you bring us .❤

Hi Colin , fantastic building but that door at the end I would definitely consider paranormal activity, the way it moved wasn’t caused by the wind .
This was a very weird home and and it was like someone closed the door. Very glad you got out of there although I wish you had gone down the spiral staircase. Be safe that place was spooky.
Based off some of the objects in there, the house probably belonged to satanist.

I can honestly say your reaction and your gut instinct was spot on it would be a cool video if you went back with others and investigate more such a nice mansion but definitely creepy.

Hilarious ending to that video. I was expecting a French speaking Chucky doll to make a lunge at you with a posh looking cake knife, or one of those hog feet hooks!!
Hi. Do you ever do any research on your adventures........ as in asking any local people if they know the reasons as to why these buildings became derelict or the families that occupied then.

Amazing video but totally weird and very spooky at times. So many wonderful items just left what a shame. I will give you 10 out of 10 for your quick escape after creepy door started slamming. Colin you certainly have a knack for finding spooky places,look forward to the next one.Take care.😀

Although the window was open at the top it actually really looked like someone ramming it shut as the door resting position seemed to be ajar. Funny cause you kept on thinking you heard things throughout the whole video and then felt spooked in that part of the chateau. I think that part would have been the servant quarters as it had a back staircase and not as ornate. Very brave exploring on your own! Great content.

I heard what sounded like a music box too and that would of been my time to get out ! I can't imagine there being an ice cream van in the middle of nowhere anyway and with all that land round it too.
I'm glad you got the door on film as that was epic.
It looks to me that the house was divided up as if that top section was closed off for a reason ?
Mind you your very brave going by yourself as I would'nt.

Loved it , The attic door was very creepy, we could actually see it opening and shutting, which it was not doing when you went up. Your a very brave man. Always trust your instincts.......
As you turned your camera after the door slammed - the door was moving back and forth - not how wind blows a door - very eerie - well scary! Before you said anything I had a creepy feeling about that place downstairs, as well as upstairs especially - got the sense the people were dabbling in "magik". Often dangerous as doors don't get closed properly when people dabble.
One look at that room screams "Horders" absolutely ashame people live like that.. there are so many antiques, irs ashame the wont be going to a museum..just left to rot..sad..good job Collin. Love your videos.💜

Second space was servants quarters - spiral staircase for quick access to all floors from kitchens in basement.
Going there alone and that door opening and closing like that defo not the wind that house holds some secrets there mate great video

This was a very interesting explore. I loved the walled off section, that was so very cool. But I understand your trepidation. Not all buildings want to be looked into and some actively force you out. . This house seems to have at least three layers of human habitation. The original old things from so long ago, the newer things, especially the office equipment. There was even a flat screen monitor and those aren't all that old. The first floor looks like someone else came in and decorated for a Halloween party. They just chucked stuff into the other rooms and even maybe outside. It doesn't appear like that really came off though. It looks like people left with things only half done. Maybe the house did not approve.

Once a beautiful home but something is definitely "off." Things look as though a family had hope but it was beyond their financial means.
But when you went to the stairs walled off from the rest of the house....I feel as though they had a child hidden away due to mental issues or something horrific like that. And the door slamming!? They were telling you to go. I believe the place is haunted. Glad you made it out!

The light fittings were beautiful and so wasted just left there. I think your right about the party
1: a lot of that stuff was newer and seems to be brought in. I imagine it became a local hangout/dump spot.
2: cleaning supplies also have expiration dates so looking for those could give you a general idea of when they were there

At first I thought the walled off section was really creepy as well but they were actualy the offices for a company called Baticonfort Gérance, there was a sign on the door of the first room "Baticonfort Gérance SARL" which in English would be "Baticonfort Managment LTD" SARL is the French equivalent of a British Limited Liability Company. The company appears to have closed down in 2020 after some sort of Court Decision, posibly a Bankruptcy Order?
The door at the end looked like it was being slammed shut, you thought you heard something you thought was a music box and footsteps earlier in the video so i would guess someone was hiding out from you in the roof space in that room - good job you didnt go up there - and slammed the door once youd left to scare you away. My wife loved your giggling as you were running out. Great video!
Beautiful chateau Colin. Wow! So many nice chandeliers. Im surprised they havent been smahed. You did say you had a feeling, when you were in the room, was it cold? I think you sensed a spurit, damn door slamming scared the shit out of me. I doubt that was the wind. That closed off area gave me some creepy vibes. Time to get out, dont blame you for swearing, i was too.
The door slamming is strange yes...scary too.
The skeptic in me though questions why there is an edit immediately before the banging happens.

I wondering, since that one room was piled full, that maybe the place was hoarded, someone tried to clean it out and would explain the huge pile of trash outside.
My Son would love that place to film in, he's studding to become a film director of horror movies! But You really must stop going to places on your own, you never no what could happen. Interesting house ^_^ i liked the dolls but when ever there is a section blocked off dark secrets are inside mind being a Halloween prop on the top of stairs maybe that door was a prop that activates from a sensor pad it looked more mechanical than someone slamming it, would be worth going back with a group of you if you plan too ^_^
Now that’s an interesting theory too, not sure how it would be powered though. Doubt there is any electric going to that place.
Being polite get rewards! They have a job to do and must get sick and tired of being surrounded by people who view them as nothing more than statues, so when this lady and her son decide to take a photo at a respectful distance they got rewarded. Nicely done sir !

As with a previous explore , could this abandoned chateau been used as a backdrop for a film as well????? Certainly some of the artifacts left are of a "theme" and out of keeping with the rest of the building. Just a thought. Great explore.
To be honest that area was extremely unsettling because it was so damn different to the rest of the house. Literally blocked off!The doors, the design, the decor like the wing got done up as it was more modern than many areas and then house atmosphere forced them out. The door slammed shut. It opened with force then slammed shut with force. You were high up, windows in that room were open and missing glass and there was a breeze.... But a breeze doesn't act like that and surely if it were a breeze slamming the door you'd have heard it before. That was creepy as *fuck…!* I'm thinking maybe the house has a ghost story to it or at least is known to be creepy by folklore/urban legend alone for the area so I'm guessing someone held a Halloween party there.
On a completely different note, you wondered about the curtains downstairs over the doorways. I've used curtains over doors and doorways as draught excluders when I lived in draughty cottages and a freezing caravan over the years. I actually have one on my garage door for when I'm working out there. Those doorways were Enormous and custom doors would cost a fortune, curtains or material considerably less. Plus they're great to hide the chaos behind 😉😊 Cracking video mate, but fuck me that was terrifying at the end 😯🚪💨🤔👻❤️

That was epic. What a mysterious place. The Halloween toys for the most part looked far more modern than most of the rest of the items left inside (a bit of a collector of spooky bits n bobs myself) and the way the upper floors had just been walled off when they became unmanageable was very disturbing. Oh and yeah, nice speedy exit at the end there 👻😳

Maybe all that stuff outsude was from people who wanted a Halloween party there, but there was just to much so they packed it all up then threw it outside. Who knows, must have been a good party. This was great! I didjt exoect it to take the dark tuern it did! I think that the owners of the house rented out the top section of the house to a business or businessess, and this is why they completely blocked off the top staircase. It does seem to have it's own, separate access after all , with that great spiral staircase. Probably needed to rent out to try to afford to run the house itself. Spooky ending too, that door was definitely not blowing in the breeze, and i heard a music box a few times...if it was an ice cream van youd think it would have moved on to somewhere else, but it sounded the same distance away every time x

What a bewildering house! the downstairs was amazing but the upstairs and that blocked off area of small rooms was ominous!
That small room with the chair was really frightening. Some very bad and evil people and "others" were/are in that place.

Yes, that is a deer hide, I had one attached to my family room wall, along with its head. We also had a black bear hide...😐 It looks like the chateau was divided into flats or apartments...which would explain the wall. OMG!!! WTF was that? Feet don't fail me now. 😨 Great explore!
What a grand old house there’s so much in it. I would love to save everything in clouding the house. The floors the walls and ceilings are all a piece of art on there own. Such a shame such a waste so sad. I would want to redo it back to how it was .

Those small rooms upstairs were servants' bedrooms, most likely. The larger room perhaps belonging to the housekeeper.

You're right to say it is a stunning location. As others have suggested perhaps a Halloween party was staged here which would account for some of the stuff you saw.
Also possible other explorers have set stuff up for photos which happens a lot in frequently explored buildings...
