  • Lets crank this ILovBee i61 keyboard build up to 11 and see what happens! Today we're showcasing the cleaned up oring friction mount and swapping the Gateron Pro Reds with some overkill switches in the Gateron Cream sodas because why not? We'll then be topping it with some sexy LTC Lavacaps shinethrough keycaps for that RGB appeal. Lets go!

I noticed something about these switches (gateron cream soda). For me, the sound is similar to a popping stuff inside a shell or ceramic bottle, which is satisfying to my ears. I've tried these switches on PC plate on of pre-built BlackIO83 keyboard. I can't seem to let these switches go (my Akko Cream Yellows' already gone after 1 month of use).

Hey man, nice video! Great sound too. In which cases would you use an O-ring? as I have seen you use it on a couple of videos

Thanks for the compliments! You can use any oring on any case where the space between the edge of the pcb/plate assembly has a small gap and the case has molded or moddable mounting points for the oring to rest. In the case of the JJK84 it doesn't work the same as its not isolating the entire assembly, its simply isolating the points where the case shuts. That is why the top case half is required. Otherwise it just falls out. In this case, its tight thus the oring actually friction mounts against the inside of the sides of the case. I removed all the material where the plate would normally rest and just left a few points on the back and sides so that the oring could sit on top of them. Most universal 60, 65, and 75% cases/keyboards will support this mounting style.
