So I have a nice little Amp that I replaced and I don't want it to go to waste. I'm looking for some passive desktop speakers for work since I'm alone a lot at work and can listen to music. Three years later what would you suggest for passive speakers?

Micca has a powered bookshelf speaker now, PB42X to be exact, u should try those when u find a chance. Basically they are the same speakers as the MB42X with an amp.
I have video on mb42 vs mb42x, check it out, since they are same speakers I didn't bother getting pb42x lol could be worth a try

@@sazzad_hossain.s they are, except powered ones have only 15 watts per channel max and the passive ones are 75 watts as u know. I wonder if that effects the sound quality, but in this video u hooked up the MB42s to an amp with 15 watts per channel too and they sounded pretty good actually. So maybe the powered ones should be good too, right?
Okay, Thankyou so much for replying. Appreciate it :) I have another question though... Do these speakers accept standard 4mm Banana Plugs for the Amplifier connection?
I have the Micca MB42 speakers but they have little bass - I have to pair them with a sub. I am not sure where the big bass was from in the video. A hidden sub??
Try adjusting the bass If you amp or receiver allow it, the bass isn't big like a subwoofer but it's adequate enough for close range, no hidden sub lol
Audio over YT is really not a great way to test the sound... HOWEVER, knowing that.. the Micca's sound way better, and the Edifires just sound muddy and meh. BTW - yes, I know this is a 3 year old video, but I am looking for something under 100 that I can use on my desk.
Miccas have better midrange while the Edifiers sounded muddy, so my choice would be the budget friendly Miccas.
But you will need an AMP.
It's obvious because they have more wattage so they are farrer from their point of distortion than the edifier.

But less watts
U can adjust the edifiers tone controls bit more to adjust the treble. That's why there are there for?
The Edifiers sound defective.
Can you please tell me if the Micca MB42 work with a Fosi Audio TDA7498E Amplifier?
Yep, will work just fine

awesome video brother thank you!
Thanks bro!
Yesterday bought eds from bay for 70 upgrading from cr3s
What about RB42? That is a better Micca.
Hello I have Yamaha RX V683 AVR, I need a height speaker. Micca MB42 is good for this?
So you mean surround speakers? Miccas will work great with that AVR, as long as you're ok with it's frequency range

You don’t have the X version.
Can you suggest a budget friendly amp for micca
No
iFi iDSD Black Label
Do you need an AMP to power these speakers ? or can plugging into a high powered reciever with old school wires do the trick ?
Suggest 2.1 channel amp
Good job 👍
the mic can't seem to handle the pressure, please add a low bass track to compare mids as well
is Micca suitable for Nad 320 BEE?
Yes, it should be fine. Ohms and watts seems to be within compatibility
@@sazzad_hossain.s thank you Sir

Hi. This is my useless comment for the day!!!
I'm assuming Micca is pronounced "Mick-a" not "Mike-a" as it has two letter Cs in the name 😂😂
The Edifiers are junk. You are better off buying older Polk Audio or something like it in the same size
@@roland-plus Gasp! You know, after many years of using edifiers, I've been aching for a change lol
