We are slightly misrepresenting the role of dragon link in the format. As a control handtrap deck it is just straight up worse than snake eyes. It needs to be played as more of a power combo deck. Targeted negation is the best interruption atm and we play through it pretty well. I play Horus rokket dragon link with cross out and a small handtrap package. Snake eyes doesn’t make super strong boards. Unless they make appo it’s easy to break. Even appo is easy to swing through. We are more concerned about droll and nib going first and second which we play crossouts for. Snake eyes struggles with chaos angel going second too. The Horus cards force the promethian princess pop or it’s too much pressure. Phantazmy is a rockstar. Going heavy on the black metal package is also great bc if they stop Romulus you still at least have seals off of one card. Often times they’ll risk stopping redmd instead. You also get gamma as a strong handtrap.
In the beginnging of the Format i could See how dlink could Play through a Board But i feel Like their Combos are so optimized rn, everyone is in apo its Just Not possible to do consitently Also im still an competetive Player First and for me dragons, bystials mainly, we're a super Strong competetive Edge the Last few Formats Right now there is Not really a reason to Play the Deck, even though bystials are still Kinda good
@@professorsunreis Yeah at the end of the day we just aren’t the best option. Unless everyone is on voiceless voice. I still think Appo isn’t as tough as we make it out to be. She is pretty easy to swing over and loses to combinations of cards. We could try to put a Bystial on board around promethian. Generally phantasmy just has enough attack. If we talents take appo it’s pretty much game over. We will steal a decent amount of going second games and going first potential goes up. But I could just be playing too many shitty fire players because it doesn’t seem super tough and I know the skill potential is super high.
I've played 4 events (1 wcq, 3 ots championships, all of which were on the last 2.5 weeks) with dragons, got top 8 at the wcq, won an ots, got top 4 at another and bubbled the last one. The deck is fine, main issue is that you have to either sack or outplay everyone since dragons dont have the as high of a ceiling as snake eye decks. I think i went like 10-1 against snake eye variants so its not that hard to win. Hardest matchup was unironicaly kash.
Imo the amount of luck required is Just too high for dragons rn Sacking is Too hard with the Deck, snake is Just better, Out playing is Not a win con imo
Doubt it. It's been around a good while and it gets good and bad every other format. Once/if snake-eyes gets hit, dlink is going to be good again because it's good against every other deck
Caliber was there so that rokkets felt better to Draw in multiples If you can Go super wide there are certain lines where it can come Up but its mostly there to have another target If recharger is harddrawn
Branded Synchro is literally the worst of both decks. Your normal summon getting impermed is very backbreaking and even ONE bystial against your bystial target can put you in a terrible spot. You also can't abuse broken cards like thrust as effectively (see duplication) or thrusting into branded fusion going 2nd. you also have a bit less non engine too
I did a small research, and sadly most of the guys say that it doesn't work that good, but still I have some hope that the tenpai dragon will be the next dragon link engine
I think you should think about making tenpai dragon link content. Let’s dragons keep up. Curious if there is a dragon link hybrid that’ll be good or if it has to just be tenpai
@@thekittenfreakify the reputation of the deck is so high because people like it so much (another example is sky striker)...DL has been touched a lot, in a meta with less HT and less fire cards it would probably be much stronger

Etude of branded is insane vs snake eye

But still congrats ofc😘
Do you think that since dragon link isnt getting any results konami might give us some cards back? like chaos space or even striker dragon.
Doubt it. It's been around a good while and it gets good and bad every other format. Once/if snake-eyes gets hit, dlink is going to be good again because it's good against every other deck
Hopefully but i dont See it Happening for a while
I feel Like they will give Love to rulers and to fire dragons with tenpai
Why play no chaos angel? Isn't it super good this format, and why caliber just to play less synchros? Just for links?
Caliber was there so that rokkets felt better to Draw in multiples

Prof sunrise how you thought about experimenting with branded synchro since it combines some of the best things about dragon link and branded

Never tested the Deck but feel what Rune says is correct
i have been testing tenpai dragons as an engine and getting good results, what do you think about this engine?
I did a small research, and sadly most of the guys say that it doesn't work that good, but still I have some hope that the tenpai dragon will be the next dragon link engine
Its good at making lvl 7 stuff
Problem is the payoff of locking into dragons is not good enough yet unless you Play dragunity with a million bricks
@@professorsunreis I have different kind of question, is it possible to play shooting majestic star dragon as an omni negate in the dragon link deck
I think you should think about making tenpai dragon link content. Let’s dragons keep up. Curious if there is a dragon link hybrid that’ll be good or if it has to just be tenpai
Will do that🫡
I like cutting black metal rn. I can't think of another way to make space for the non engine
take out nib veiler and play fantazmay talents instead trust
What do you propouse?? Playing in main insted of veiler, fantasmay
They lost tools. That's it
It's not the biggest problem
If that were true rep for the deck would not be in the single digits.

Deck has been powercrept by all that new post visas starfrost crap. Covid format was better than this...
