@@EliRetroVHS642 Because they had already finished that storyline the year prior and had John Cena tie Ric Flair’s record. Nakamura was very over with the crowd in 2018 after coming up from NXT the year prior and AJ was putting up crazy matches too. The hype for their rematch was insane and they deserved in ring freedom and more time to go off. Their match was very limited hence why it was a huge disappointment.
I just wanna say, every day I turn on my TV, go on youtube, and turn on one of your videos and it makes me happy. You are my favorite wrestling youtuber Pav.
I was there live and holy shit the fans crapped all over the main event match, a good portion of the fans walked out before the main event started and also fans were either cheering for triple h and of course booing Roman, chanting for NXT stars, and chanting for CM Punk. I will say Y2J and AJ styles stole the show.
Seemingly their entire game plan was to have all the heels win so when Roman won, the crowd would finally have something to cheer for because a face finally won. (From my understanding, Zack Ryder's win originally wasn't supposed to happen.) And on top of that the show just seemed to drag on forever and ever. My favorite parts of that WrestleMania weekend were NXT Dallas and seeing Enzo and Cass show up the next night on Raw. To me, it felt like nothing on the PPV mattered and it felt like it would never end. (Edit: A PPV being long doesn't mean it's bad. If it's a good show, it can be a long show, but it won't feel long.)
This mania had the perfect setting for Undertaker's last match. His hime state of Texas, 100,000 people. If he retired here, I don't think anyone would've complained.
@WrestleLuxuryWhy, just because you don't agree with it? You see how many stinkers Taker delivered after this one from his 3 minute debacle with Cena to the concussive nightmare with Goldberg and the senile old man's dance with the return of Shawn Michaels at Saudi? I honestly agree Taker should have retired somewhere around 2015-2016.
Wrestlemania 32 should have been: Shield triple threat match (but Rollins was injured) Lesnar vs Austin Undertaker vs Cena (Cena was injured) Shane McMahon vs Triple H
On one hand, this show was cursed with injuries. On the other, the show is cursed with bad booking 😅 I actually really liked your rebooking you did of this show a while back, Pav. It saved the main event and would've been such a boss way to introduce AJ by immediately having him beef with Beast Mode Lesnar.
This Wrestlemania is an interesting relic from a now bygone era. It was a time when Vince McMahon was at the peak of his narcissism against the fans, and it seemed like every decision made on this night was done out of spite, as if to throw both middle fingers at the viewers and say "I'll do whatever I want, and you will like it!". Fans couldn't even turn to the competition, as Impact was in an "it exists" era, NJPW was still quite niche outside of Japan and the hardcore fans, and AEW wouldn't debut for another three years. Thankfully in 2024, we seem to be on the long climb out of that darkness, but this event should always remind us of how bleak the final years of the McMahon regime were, and hopefully we'll never see a disaster like this again.
It was rumored had sting not gotten injured we were gunna get sting vs taker, then as a back up Cena was the next opponent til he got injured, vince was pretty much getting swerved with the injuries
Mania 32 was the first Mania I'd seen live through the network and Mania 38 was the first Mania I attended in-person. Those two shows at AT&T Stadium were night and day.
From what I've read the Miz was supposed to win at WM32 but he persuaded them to give it to Ryder so be could have a WM moment. To keep their plans on track they just had Miz win it the next night.
I’ll always have a soft spot for this Mania since it was my first one live in attendance. I always consider this Mania a show of “moments” versus actual match quality. Great video analysis Pav, keep them coming!
The worst part about the Women's Title match is that the fans actually LIKED Charlotte back then. They were excited about the Four Horsewoman changing the woman's division going forward. But her winning this match at Mania with the help of her dad followed by the hot potato title rivalry she would have with Sasha afterwards really was the catalyst that made fans start to turn on her.
i'd argue she was always over with the crowd even after the hot potato feud. getting booed doesn't mean the fans dont like her. she was a heel throughout this time. the first time she got actual go-away heat was February 2019 when Vince announced she'd replace Becky as Ronda's opponent. that's when the fans started getting sick of her. but they still respect her as a talent. her babyface run in 2023 was proof of that
To be fair, Corbin winning the battle royal was a pleasant surprise at the time. An NXT guy with an unexpected victory was cool, but then he became the Main roster Corbin that everyone hated in the late 2010’s
Ironically, 2016 is the best year for WWE in the 2010s and their Wrestlemania sucked. Like I think this and 27 are so close together as lesser but not terrible Mania's. Also I still personally feel like the headline main event should've been Triple H vs Dean Ambrose as Dean was hot at this point.
In India my class 10 exams were running and I missed this show and afterwards when I watched this 16 years old me was so disappointed I changed the channel and watched 3 hrs of Man vs Wild
Imagine if they did Shane(w. Foley) vs HHH (w. Vince & Steph) no holds barred for the authority of Raw where Shane is just getting screwed by Vince's and HHH's tactics for the crowd to give a gigantic pop to Stone Cold's music who walks down as a saviour!!!
I remembered watching this as a 12 year old without the knowledge of what was happening backstage, injuries, some storylines heading into the show and the forced push of Roman as a babyface. I was watching it with blind eyes. 8 years later and after really gaining knowledge of the backlash of this show and knowing more about the business, I can say it was a mid show. The only thing I remember is Steph getting Speared😂. To me it's one of those events that make you realise it wasn't as ok as you remember it.
Say whatever i loved Jericho vs styles feud , that amazing ladder match and of course taker vs shane was so good, and the theme of the show was one of the greatest of all time
Shanes 2016 return was top 20 returns of all time. A blast of the attitude era with control of the company on the line. Hell in a cell. The best match from WM32
I was busy at the start of the show so I started watching immediately after the ladder match. I thought "man, I hate everything about this show." Then I watched the ladder match and thought "Well at least that was great."
AJ Styles and Shane McMahon shouldn't have lost their matches, Bayley should have been in that triple threat so we can have a fatal four way between the 4 Horsewomen, and Dean Ambrose should have beaten Triple H for the WWE Championship or Roman Reigns should have beaten Brock Lesnar for the WWE.
The only thing I really remembered from 32 was my friends getting angry over Roman winning. I honestly forgot about the comically horrendous booking decisions in the rest of the show but looking back on it now yeah I was pretty annoyed by most of it, specifically the Aj and Ambrose matches. There will always be a match or two where you're either not into or disagree with the outcome but how did WWE manage to drop the ball on every match on the card.
This was the most miserable Mania I ever been to. (Ive been to ten so far and one of them includes 27) I only got 4 hrs of sleep the night before. Flew in to Dallas around 9am. Booked my rental car at the wrong airport (flew into DFW but the rental was at Love Field) Took the train to pick up the rental. After stopping by the superstore I got to my hotel with enough time to take a 45 min nap. Then headed to the stadium. Waited in line for about 2 hrs to get in. This was before the Miller litehouse so we were just out in the sun baking. But thank God I did, because I was some of the lucky few who got in before the ticket scanners went down. Thats why if you watch the preshow, hardly anyone is there. I drunk 4 red bulls during the show just to stay awake. It was so boring a depressing. What a miserable show.

Yeah well... Roman won and got boo... So... No one cheer except Vince
I think taker should have retire last hell in cell match with Brock or tag match with roman, both these match taker look the best
Wrestlemania 32 should have been:
Shield triple threat match (but Rollins was injured)
Lesnar vs Austin
Undertaker vs Cena (Cena was injured)
Shane McMahon vs Triple H
If they wanted to make a triple threat match with the shield they would do it in wrestlemania 31
Roman was going to be in the mainevent anyway
On one hand, this show was cursed with injuries. On the other, the show is cursed with bad booking 😅
I actually really liked your rebooking you did of this show a while back, Pav.
24th birthday today and watching a video from WrestlinGifs 👌🏻
Happy birthday!
I still don’t understand why they would have Ryder lose the belt the next night
From what I've read the Miz was supposed to win at WM32 but he persuaded them to give it to Ryder so be could have a WM moment. To keep their plans on track they just had Miz win it the next night.
Barely in 2024 and bro is putting nothing but straight banger after banger like prime cena
Technically that Shane & Taker match didn't say Shane had to win he just had to compete against The Undertaker not necessarily did he have to win.
Did you say Taker should have lost to SHANE MCMAHON ON WRESTLEMANANIA ??????????????????
Pav Really Dropping Consistently Now 😂✔️
I’ll always have a soft spot for this Mania since it was my first one live in attendance. I always consider this Mania a show of “moments” versus actual match quality. Great video analysis Pav, keep them coming!
We were in the trenches during this time. But it was out of WWE’s control given the injuries
If you watch the video, it was definitely in their control bro😪
@@WrestlinGifsnah looking back at the video. You were right like how did WWE just mess up this Mania so bad 😭😭😭
The only I thing I remembered was obviously your obligatory Kick ass Triple H entrance
The worst part about the Women's Title match is that the fans actually LIKED Charlotte back then. They were excited about the Four Horsewoman changing the woman's division going forward. But her winning this match at Mania with the help of her dad followed by the hot potato title rivalry she would have with Sasha afterwards really was the catalyst that made fans start to turn on her.
i'd argue she was always over with the crowd even after the hot potato feud. getting booed doesn't mean the fans dont like her. she was a heel throughout this time. the first time she got actual go-away heat was February 2019 when Vince announced she'd replace Becky as Ronda's opponent. that's when the fans started getting sick of her. but they still respect her as a talent. her babyface run in 2023 was proof of that
I still never understood how Zack Ryder won the Intercontinental Championship at Mania and then loses the title the following night
These are the matches that that we should have gotten.
Shane McMahon vs Triple H
Brock vs The Wyatt family
Dean vs Roman Reigns
It’s a beautiful day every time this guy posts
This Wrestlemania got completely retconned right away,it's insane
I remember being 17 turning off my tv after watching the main event cause I knew who was gonna win anyway 😂😂
Bro just be consistent for like 2 years I will guarantee you will get to million
Triple h vs Shane and the shield triple threat would have been crazy smh for injuries 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
Cena vs Owens
Taker vs Sting
Brock vs Wyatt
All this matches would've happened if the injuries didn't happened at all
Damn just reading the matches that could've happened, made the card looked much more appealing
The Card itself was on that Joe Rogan DMT type of shiii. But the Soundtrack to mania 32 was pretty hype and nostalgic.
This Wrestlemania was saved for me because it was the only one I attended 😅
You should make a video on what you thought about bray Wyatt’s full career
The first Mania I watched live………omg I still hate it 😂 And then the next Mania I watched live was 34……I was cursed
Saying Taker should have lost to Shane is wild though!
I was there live. People chanted “this is boring” and were walking out during the main event. My first live WM. But still had a great time.
I’ll give WWE credit for trying to put on a good card with all the injuries even though I felt like it could’ve been a little better
27 to me is still worse. 32 had the injury excuse and still somewhat FELT like a Mania
To be fair, Corbin winning the battle royal was a pleasant surprise at the time. An NXT guy with an unexpected victory was cool, but then he became the Main roster Corbin that everyone hated in the late 2010’s
Ofc not an issue, but it just adds to HEEL HEEL HEEL GOES OVER
You should do wrestlemania 34, that one was also was disappointing. Especially AJ vs Shinsuke😢
4:24 this is the perfect way to describe the League of Nations lol
You could also see nick khan sitting in the crowd during hell in a cell match😮😮😮
18:53 AEW/NJPW Forbidden Door 2022 actually got this type of story right 💀
AJ styles we have big plans for you but you still got that TNA and Japanese stench on you 😂 😂😂
Love these videos
Shane winning that night would’ve made his “greatest in the world” title a tad bit more believable
After wrestlemania following brand split
In India my class 10 exams were running and I missed this show and afterwards when I watched this 16 years old me was so disappointed I changed the channel and watched 3 hrs of Man vs Wild
Love these vids bro keep going
Mania 32 was the last WWE show I ever watched. You put it in words better than I ever could.
Never usually make it this early but seeing the notification was definitely a good surprise
RIP AKIRA TORIYAMA
thanks for making my childhood happy
34 is the worst. Taker was washed in a 5 min match that even he didn’t want, and the fans saw their hero lose.
I do wonder what the original card would be
I remembered watching this as a 12 year old without the knowledge of what was happening backstage, injuries, some storylines heading into the show and the forced push of Roman as a babyface.
I love ur vids man
take a shot every time bro says "vince mcmahon revenge tour"
Roman was always so fucking good and entertaining I never understood the hate he got back then
Because he did not deserve to be in the main event
Also Being entertaining is not enough to be in the mainevent two times in a row
@@amrabdalnasser4691 he deserves everything. mans a legend
@@idobrom as tribal chief he is great, that big dog character was very bad
Vince McMahon Revenge Tour is a perfect way to describe this! And that describes a lot of Vince’s booking decisions.
16:00 you can change your plans for Triple H's match, but that part tbh was okay
4:20 bro thought that he can sneak r.i.p akira toriyama without anyone noticing
Vince M : DAM IT PAV, this is the greatest wrestlemania of all time
I was busy at the start of the show so I started watching immediately after the ladder match. I thought "man, I hate everything about this show."
Then I watched the ladder match and thought "Well at least that was great."
“It’s fake you control the outcome of the show” is the funniest thing in this video
