Thank you for the video, I will be performing this repair tomorrow on my 2018 explorer, it's pretty much how I expected it to be, but your video takes the guess work out of the equation!
Thank you for sharing this. I am actually replacing the front upper panel with another one...so no lights...but this showed me how to replace that panel as well.
The number stamped on Ford parts is the engineering number, which will be different the service part number or the number you’d find on your parts invoice
Thanks for sharing this. Do you know if you're able to order the part of the shell that houses the blinker? I have 2014 Explorer Sport (power) and I'm in a similar situation. Mirror works and functions perfectly, but cracked the housing/shell and broke the blinker. I can see just about every part for sale on Ford OEM sites except for that housing.
You did a great job with this video. I installed similar puddle lights in my mirrors and now I see my driver side mirror defogger and mirror signal do not work. I don’t know if it was like that before the light install. The two wires on the puddle lights I may try to reverse just in case it has something to do with it. Thanks!
Shouldn't the ford image shine long ways parallel with the door, these are called puddle lights, they should shine on the floor along with the door, so you can see if there are puddles to keep from stepping in, you will either need to turn the lights so the align parallel with the door, or make sure you haven't mixed the left and right lights up, because they are marked for right side and left side. 😎👍
Thats what im worried about light broke cause a bus clipped my mirror and i wasnt bout to go through no dam insurance have my rates go up for a dam light but i have anti fog mirrors with auto dimming for lights and blind spot lol im scared to pop the mirror off like he saying with all them wire connected to my mirror
Thanks for your help. I found it easier to take the mirror assembly off the car to replace the signal light. Worked out well.

Thanks for the video. I have ordered a new mirror and will replace my broken mirror next week. The steps are very helpful.
thank you for taking the time to make this video. I have a 2018 with the same problem and will attempt to repair what I thought was a lost cause.

Been trying to do this myself, how do you pop the mirror out without breaking off the clips?

I will try this now. I have 2018 2.3 limited, should be the same. Thanks
Гарне роз'яснення, дякую!
Thanks for video, just wondering where could I order the blinking lights you replace?. Thanks in advance
Btw my car is ford explorer 2017 limited edition.
Thanks. I found it much easier to take off that last large black piece if the mirror was not folded forward.
Can you do this with the 2015 Ford Edge?

I would maybe call my local Ford dealer for part # and price. Than take that # online to see if I can find it cheaper. Just my thought.
