I served on a jury for the first time a few months ago. These comments are spot on. I don't think people realize how important jury instruction are.
This judge is descusting! He should be disbarred! His Daughter is making millions off this ,and anyone can see that he is majorly biased. And to send jurors home before a verdict? How has our judicial system get so corrupt? How do we fix this?
I'd also add: What the hell is justice in not clearly stating what the defendant is accused of and giving a swift and speedy (a 1 week delay in the trial in addition to the delays in the trial on Wednesdays) trial to the defendant?

Listening to all of this, it scares the hell out of me. This is a "justice system"?. I don't mean just for Trump. This is the way we prosecute crime? I have mostly 'kept my head down' from 'authority" all my life, except for that time in an aggressor squadron., which is a shame because I am very capable (and can tell you about some wild adventures). My parents warned me about the "justice system". My mom repeatedly told me, usually with her finger in my face, "If you ever get arrested the only thing to come out of your mouth is 'I want a lawyer'. My dad , hugely successful in the semiconductor industry, grew up in a very rural area and didn't trust any 'authority'. We were not guilty of anything and respectful people to everyone, they just put the suspicion in us of "the system". It reminds me of the saying, 'Everybody commits a crime every day. It just depends on which one they want to convict you of.'.

My sister just got out of prison here in Illinois. She told me there are multiple "trans women," aka men who say they are women in Decatur. We, our tax dollars, are paying for the hormones they take.
I feel stupid - I just learned open use drug facilities don’t just provide all the needles, pipes, etc. - they also supply the drugs with taxpayer money. And then they freely terrorize the grocery store they put it next to. Then we pay the police to try and stop these people but they just go back out on the streets. It’s just a viscous circle that I’m supporting through my freaking taxes.

The world is falling apart due to this polarisation and constant ratcheting up of emotions and grievances. If Trump is found guilty based on the Judge’s behavior, can. Trump appeal directly to the Federal Courts claiming his constitutional rights were violated or does he have to go through the NY State Courts.

From what I’ve seen with these expert lawyers he can appeal it.
However his appeal won’t be heard until after Election Day. And he will have been a convicted felon and
Biden and the dems will bombard t and radio with a ton of commercials calling him a felon. The damage will be done. And with this judge delaying it for a week, that plays into their hands. But they all say he will win on appeal. After the election.
His appeal would go to the First Department of New York State’s Appellate Division, if the conviction were upheld it would then go before New York State Court of Appeals which is the State’s highest Court. Before then, there are several possible outcomes. A hung jury which would result in a mistrial although Merchan would likely do everything in his power to encourage the jury to a resolution especially if there is only one or two holdouts. If it is declared a mistrial, Bragg could then potentially retry the case although that would seem unlikely. An outright not guilty verdict is possible, not likely, but that would mean the case could not be retried. It hasn’t been touched on much but Trump could potentially be convicted on “lesser included charges”, that would likely be misdemeanours, a lot depends on what kind of jury instructions Merchan gives and you can bet he’ll do his level best to keep his thumb firmly on the scale in favour of the prosecution. Even though the left wing media is salivating over Trump in jail, it’s probably not likely even if he is convicted on the felony charges (if the jurors can even figure out what the heck those might be), I certainly cannot. Felony cases in New York of falsifying business records resulted in jail time about 1 in ten cases. Jail time is still a possibility even for misdemeanour conviction but not likely, Trump doesn’t have prior convictions or other aggravating factors and the Judge has plenty of other sentencing options. Which doesn’t mean Merchan might not just attempt such a sentence anyway.
This Judge has committed so many reversible errors and that is undeniable even for the most partisan Trump hater. It
doesn’t seem likely a conviction would survive appeal. Of course, no resolution is likely before the election.
SCOTUS would only hear the case, IF they decided to take it up, if there were some question of violation of constitutional law or of Federal statute. Frankly, as partisan as New York may be, I just still cannot imagine the Appellate Division upholding such a verdict so whatever arguments might exist on such grounds are going to be moot. Harvey Weinstein had his conviction in New York overturned on grounds which are clearly present in the Trump case and that is only one of the multiple grounds on which a Trump conviction might be appealed.

Absolutely! Attorneys and judges are supposed to be held accountable by the Supreme Court Disciplinary Prosecutor! Grievances must first be filed in order for them to investigate and proceed. I’m surprised the Supreme Court hasn’t stepped into this farce actually. So many unconstitutional things are happening that are truly frightening. If they can do this to a former president/ candidate, think what rights you’ll have stripped from YOU! Jesse Kelly just introduced a theory I never considered but makes total sense. Black replacement theory I will call it. Inner city American born blacks in urban cities, replaced by foreign people from foreign places with zero allegiance to the country but total allegiance to the democratic party and free government subsidies.

I watched this presentation twice; a rare occasion for me. You are both correct, 100%. What you’re not mentioning and you can call it a conspiracy theory if you wish is that these military age men will soon be armed with stockpile weapons Barack Obama/Janet Napolitano. They consumed 1.5 million rounds of ammunition with the concurrent firearms, 7000 and guns, and street size takes along with other military type assets. These people are going to be armed they all have a cell phone and they will be sent to the homes of our second amendmentholders to disarm them. There is no way the police would participate in disarming gun owners, but imported mercenary sure will! And it will be soon very very soon.
Its the prosecutors and the judges that dont properly apply the law that allow criminals to roam free.
