I've never seen a spool holder like that! Since my droid started rolling in 2019 I only stick my head in the forums occasionally. What a great idea that is!
Your videos have been so useful in helping me understand how everything fits together. Using the same hinge and servo setup for my dome, so this is helpful to see. Great building!

I wish I had seen this video prior to starting on my dome. Some great ideas I would have used. All my servos are doubled-sided foam taped down. So far working. I too 3d Printed curved board mounts, but I E3000 glued the to the dome. Where did you get those white spring guides on the SERVOS? I have never seen those before. Did you 3d Print them? If so, can I get the stl please? Great video, great job on the dome Master!
Can't wait to see this all working with the lift mechanism was wondering if it be possible to get help doing the same to my 3d r2 dome
did you make to stl files for the servo spool?
So are you going to daisy chain the Maestro for the dome off of the lifter Maestro? Basically allowing you to run a tx, rx, pos and neg powers up and could be on a small magtag style connector?
Well, I don't think I'm going to use the dome mechanism. I'm looking at an alternative.
@@MakerDan55 ah dang, ok. Been following your build. I have my lifter and panels working but having some alignment issues cause I want to keep it magnetic and also ran out of servo slots on my maestro so only 4 panels and 5 pies.
@@CaptainFettCosplay I built my mechanism too tall so it will be a lot of work cutting it down. I also think there are too many fragile parts in it and it would have to be removed every time you transported the droid. I'm playing around with a new mechanism that is much more simple and durable.
