Brian seem like a super sympathetic and a fantastic guy. Just LOVE Diamond Head for many years back but a highlight was I am Evil at Tons Of Rock this year. Looking forward to see him and Saxon in February in Oslo.
Wow! What a pleasant surprise! Great interview with Brian. Their studio albums are great, but I have seen them live a number of times over 40 odd years and that's the way to really appreciate them - they are really hard rocking and awesome in concert.
This American metalhead definitely found Diamond Head through Metallica. Found Budgie that way too. I really enjoy finding new bands I really like that never made it big here as it's a way to hear something I haven't heard before and to spread the word that there is more beyond our rather insular borders. My favorite Diamond Head song has long been and remains The Prince. It's just an amazing creation that rocks me out even after all these years. Coffin Train was great and I hope there is more on the way! Stay safe, stay defiant, fuck Russia.
I remember buying "Behold the beginning" as an experimental purchase, and I loved it! I still do, I forget the band members names, but the guy singing on that album was pretty awesome. But, lightening to the nations, feat.rasmus Anderson, is fricken killer!🤘
Cool Interview. I saw Diamond head live with Raven in Dallas several years ago. Great show. I met Brian and he is a very nice guy. Also had dinner with Raven that night at a local pub. It was a real Spinal Tap-like experience. What a fun evening!
I've learned to play quite a few Diamond Head songs on guitar. There was a level of complexity to compositions like "Lightning to the Nations" that would have even given contemporaries like Iron Maiden a run for their money!
What's your favourite Diamond Head song?
A lot: it's Electric, Streets of gold the prince, am I evil and Helpless.
HELPLESS...
Am I evil?
@@DethMachineX_ yes I am
Sucking My Love 🤘😎
Brian Tadler is a Metal Legend !!! My favorite song is: "Borrowed Time" I like both, the original, with Sean, and the new one, with the new singer.
Saw this lot 1980 Bradford St Georges hall, was sadly half empty but one of the very very best gigs ever & I have been to a LOT of gigs since then.

Their last Rockpallast concert was great!
I got into Diamond Head from a compilation call NWOBHM 79 Revisited.
Great interview! Brian's such a nice guy too, and very humble.
He is! It was so great to speak to him!
Lightning to the nations is a real heavy metal masterpiece ✌️

I used to play drums for Brians old band Radio Moscow!

Thank you! Would love to hear that dinner story 😉
@@MetalPilgrim It would be too much to explain here. Maybe sometime we can talk directly. It was a crazy night and the Raven guys are really cool.

B leaguers like Diamond Head, need all time A leaguers to cover their stuff to bring it to the masses, I encourage this.
Metallica have officially released 4 of their songs - Am I Evil , The Prince, Helpless & It’s Electric
And covered a couple more unofficially as well
@@MetalPilgrim That’s true mainly in their older gigs back in 82/83 while on tour with Saxon, Venom and Raven
I hope they paid Diamond Head some points for their label released covers. Good sht!
@@JM-kq4le I am sure that those who wrote those songs don’t complain ;)
Am I evil or It's Electric are my favorite songs
KK Downings cousin 🎸🎸🎸🤘🤘🤘
this is fucking kick ass! my brother. wow!
favourite diamond head song - "deadline USA" .....
Anybody else get irritated by Metallica when they play Am I Evil and only play a shortened version of it that stops before the best part of the song?
I'm sure Metallica would love to do to a project you with Diamond Head.
Diamond head needs to come to south America
