I worked on one for a while and got through many parts, but I felt it didn't work and wasn't worth any more time.

Like, I get wanting everything to be perfect and not wanting to release something you're not proud of, believe me I do. That said for most of us these compilations are background noise or something we watch in bed before/during falling asleep so we generally won't notice the things that annoy you as the video's creator. My suggestion would be if you put work into something and don't like it, just dump what you have and maybe just denote in the title "unfinished" or "scraps." I know I and a lot of others will be happy for the content.
Whatever you end up doing, we love your stuff and you do you ultimately.
