- Anybody can open a hamburger joint. Few can boost owning one that's a been a popular diner since 1942. The Burger Bar on the Virginia side of Bristol hasn't changed much over the years. The burgers are award-winning, and it's still the site of a mystery that remains unsolved. Watch this and more episode segments of Nashville Public Television's Tennessee Crossroads.
That's what I'm talking about Olde school is the best score kudos to this place and these guys/girls
Joe and Kayla catered my wedding. Everything they do is absolutely amazing and their Mormon Burger with parmesean fries is unequivocally my favorite meal. I cannot recommend Burger Bar enough.
What is a Mormon burger ?
@@stevelogan5475 it’s just the name of one of the burgers on their menu
Looks great!
That Burger is 1 Big Mac, and it looked delicious.
McDonald’s corporate should watch this, because that is the real BIGMac( mic)! Not two 3 inch diameter quarter inch beef imitation patties surrounded with bread.
Illuminated Crosshairs Sad thing is corporate America doesn't care so we shouldn't either stay away from that dump
I think I invented the Big Mac in 1958. Griddle cook part time in the Navy. Also the triple cheese sandwich. Three slices of bread. 2 pieces of cheese.
love this place sure wish I could visit..it's real....
U need to do a video and review about The Angry Italian Restaurant located off of 6th Street in Bristol TN.
Good story. Thanks Joe
If I lived nearby I would eat there a couple a times a week & still gonna visit as it is not to far away from here in my part of Kentucky
This place looks great
Clown Burger ll in Ft Worth started in 1959. Best I have ever had. Still going.
I think Hank had a heat attack after eating the big mic!
Was Burger Bar open 1995 to 2009?
I went down State St. 100 times back then, never noticed it. Would have loved a good burger!
I just ate there a week ago I'm from north Carolina and the burger bar hamburgers are the best I've ever had I got the fire god
Great burger's and Hank? What else could ya want...
That’s because Hank Sr just ate 250 grams of fat in one meal! What a way to go.
Their version of the big Mac looked way better than the actual thing
I hope those records were not real & just artificial/re-makes under the counter top cause they are worth some good money , but if not that is up to y'all & God Bless you & your business , may the Lord Jesus prosper y'all , posting from S/E Kentucky by me as an 60 yr old Irish feller
Smashing the juices out of those burgers
Are you saying that as a good thing or a bad thing?
Jim Willoughby definitely a bad thing. I've seen Joe do it too.
Smashing the juices AND taste out.
Look good

Now hes a food critic. What happened to power nation????????
Press the juice right out of them. ☹️
simple is always the best
Definitely not what it used to be! Outside the nostalgia end of it...just another burger joint
Best Burger in Virginia??? I thought this was Bristol TN??
Nikki, Bristol is in VA and TN. This happens to be on the VA side. Thanks for watching!
The state line in Bristol TN/VA runs straight down the middle of the street. I’ve lived here my whole life, not far from state street. That’s the name of the road. I live in Hickory Tree at the foot of Cherokee National Forest. The Rhythm and Roots Festival occurs in TN/VA and State Street runs right through the middle of the festival.
They clearly stated it was on the Virginia side of Bristol but what can you expect from somebody in tennessee
Only place to get a real Burger and fries. I wish people would not go to McDonald's and their nasty fake food
Their “best burger in the state” would be even better if the chef didn’t smash all the juice out of it. Looks great otherwise!
Agreed
