Thoughts on Hydretain vs. a Dawn dish soap solution?

In short, Hydretain is designed for lawns and Dawn is designed for dishes and cleaning wildlife after oil spills. Also Hydretain is not a traditional wetting agent so to speak. It’s forms a film around the roots that is able to bring moisture into the root zone from lower depths that wouldn’t usually be available to them. Dawn dish soap acts as a surfactant that breaks the tension surface and increases water permeability but I repeat is not labeled or designed for lawns therefore could have some undesired effects long term. Hope this helps.

5 to 10 minutes is a lot for irrigation syringing. I prefer 1 to 2 minutes…. Only looking to moisture the leaf blade… not underneath the canopy. More looking to moisten just the tip. 🌱 🌱

The amount of time it takes is subjective to your irrigation system and how it’s set up. Either way I agree the end point is the same.
