And on the days that I don’t water in the morning, I give the grass a little cool off around 4pm. I try to give it some time to dry out a little bit cause of the humidity. And it’s too hot to be doing extra work dealing with fungus 😂 So I’m still only putting down ~1”-1.25” a week.

I can definitely verify this works. Here in west Texas it's been 102+ for about 3 weeks it seems. My grass is easily greener than any one else's in the neighborhood (except for the areas under the tree, never can get that to thicken up). I saturate early morning before sunrise, then start a 3 minute water cycle/4 hour soak. Best grass around now.
This is some next gen stuff I was thinking of doing too. Was scared bc of all the old timers saying water deeeeep and not frequent . Can’t wait to try this and dominate like you brah😂!

No my b-hyve tells me the water pressure then I calculate pressure and gallons per minute to get an accurate reading. I also monitor where the sprinkler heads are hitting cause the distance and water varies… Tuna can isn’t a good gauge in my opinion 😊👊🏾🙏🏾🤙🏾

Depending on the rain I don’t water for that day or days it rains cause that’s a blessing 😂😂😂 right now I’m just watering 15 min each zone in the morning everyday 4am and I have to start adding an afternoon watering 2pm cause the grass is kinda turning brown 😅 summer is different you just have to keep watering but not too much where you get mushrooms and fungus start appearing… I use Scott’s disease ex and bio advance fungicide alternating once a month to help aid all the watering 😊🤙🏾

You should paint those metal pit covers dark green, they will look better and also stay cooler and not burn the lawn as much. anything except a fire hyrdant is fair game in terms of painting them. As long as the utility companies can find them still you should be golden.
Years ago I had a Toro system installed in a house I had for a while and the installer set the zones to run 45 minutes three times every week between 4:00 -7:00 AM but it ran each zone at noon and at 3:00 PM and called the practice “misting” the lawn to cool it down.
Is the 1.5"/week coming from the 26 minutes each day or is that only from the 20 minutes each morning? Also, do you use this watering method (watering every day) only in the heat of the summer or throughout the entire growing season?
For me it’s 30 minutes every morning durning spring and it works out to 1.5 inches per week my b-hyve timer can calculate water pressure so I do some math to determine time and depth of watering. Summer I was doing 4x 15 min and it was too much so I went 20min 4am 2 min 10am 1pm 4pm and it’s working perfect! If it gets really hot I’ll go 5 min instead of 2 min 😊👊🏾🙏🏾🤙🏾

@@YardBrah good idea on the fungicide. Only issue we are stage 2 and can only water with irrigation once a week on our designated day from 7 am to 11am and 7pm to 11pm. But I can try and hand water every day since they are ok with hand watering as much as you want.
I get this question a lot my b-hyve let’s me do multiple different water times on my front timer but the back timer says an error saying it can only do the same water time 4 different times on the app… I literally have 20 min 2 min 2 min 2 min programmed in its all automatic in the front… in the back I can’t it’s set for 20 min in the back and I have to manually do it. Apparently this is not a thing with b-have I might have a good faulty timer in the front 😂😂😂🤙🏾

Few things here... one, 2 minutes using a moving head, so I take it for a continuous head you want to do 1 minute, and the 20 becomes 10 minutes.. also, is that every day or every other day? I have water restrictions so I can only water every other day. And if you are doing it every day, wouldn't that be more than 1 and half inches a week? Or it does take your sprinkler 3 and half hours to put down inch and half? Sorry, that was a lot . But I am part of the lawn annihilation team. Years ago I had a Toro system installed in a house I had for a while and the installer set the zones to run 45 minutes three times every week between 4:00 -7:00 AM but it ran each zone at noon and at 3:00 PM and called the practice “misting” the lawn to cool it down.

Also, do you use this watering method (watering every day) only in the heat of the summer or throughout the entire growing season?
For me it’s 30 minutes every morning durning spring and it works out to 1.5 inches per week my b-hyve timer can calculate water pressure so I do some math to determine time and depth of watering.
Summer I was doing 4x 15 min and it was too much so I went 20min 4am 2 min 10am 1pm 4pm and it’s working perfect! If it gets really hot I’ll go 5 min instead of 2 min 😊👊🏾🙏🏾🤙🏾

Everyday! I would try it and see for like 2 weeks… you should def get some fungicide down first though to prevent disease you guys are super humid 😊👊🏾🤙🏾🙏🏾
@@YardBrah good idea on the fungicide. Only issue we are stage 2 and can only water with irrigation once a week on our designated day from 7 am to 11am and 7pm to 11pm. But I can try and hand water every day since they are ok with hand watering as much as you want.

I get this question a lot my b-hyve let’s me do multiple different water times on my front timer but the back timer says an error saying it can only do the same water time 4 different times on the app… I literally have 20 min 2 min 2 min 2 min programmed in its all automatic in the front… in the back I can’t it’s set for 20 min in the back and I have to manually do it. Apparently this is not a thing with b-have I might have a good faulty timer in the front 😂😂😂🤙🏾

Few things here... one, 2 minutes using a moving head, so I take it for a continuous head you want to do 1 minute, and the 20 becomes 10 minutes.. also, is that every day or every other day? I have water restrictions so I can only water every other day. And if you are doing it every day, wouldn't that be more than 1 and half inches a week? Or it does take your sprinkler 3 and half hours to put down inch and half? Sorry, that was a lot . But I am part of the lawn annihilation team.
