ABOUT LISA WITT
I love to help students unlock their full musical potential. I have taught in a wide variety of settings from Music for Young Children to helping recording artists prepare their songs for the road. I also have specialized experience working with children that struggle with learning, developmental, and physical disabilities. While my background is classical, I’m currently focusing on helping my students play the music they love by ear! I’m excited to be a part of YOUR journey as you learn how to sight read, play by ear, and progress through musical theory. It is going to be fun!

Just started learning piano, and found this channel. Lisa is pure gold, always smiling and really kind, brighten my day. Keep up the good work, thank you for being with us! :)
Definitely! Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven! Thanks a lot for share those examples using minor chords progression, Pianote! Your videos are the best! It's time to practice these beautiful chords progression guys!🔥
Thanks a lot!
Being in an 3rd world tiny Kingdom of Eswatini, I am amazed to watch a humble, loving mom, teaching millions of 🎹 lovers how to play with simplicity. In my country our women don't get much interest in playing instruments but are traditionally more happy with singing in the choir than learning to play. Thanks for igniting my passion for music. Be blessed Madam
Beethoven moonlight sonata 🌛

I have no idea what the 2nd song is 😂.
1st movement specificly and yse i dont have any idea which song is 2nd song
@@user-ph6id5xu7u shape of my heart - sting
exactly...
#2 - Sting - shape of my heart...
I haven't played the piano in 20 years and just got an electric one. Was immediately sad because I forgot literally everything. Watched this video and it brought back so much muscle/note memory that I started riffing and it sounded pretty good. Thank you!
You are an amazing teacher! Your links and virtual mentoring over only a week of finding your posts have propelled me to a new level of playing/understanding. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! My favorite minor chord progression is BDG/Am-F-G-Em.
I love these chord progressions so much!
It's hard to pick a favorite chord progression when playing chord progressions are one of my favourite things to do in the world. Thank you for all the great content and tools to get better.
no need to pick a favorite when they are all beautiful!
Thanks for all your help and advice.
Your videos are so helpful. I've played and written on guitar for decades, but I've been stuck on piano for years. I can play all the chords but have had issues playoing melodies. I have zero interest in learning to read music so all this is perfect for me. Thank you for your smile and instruction.
I love your joy while you play and share your lessons. Thank you.
thank-you piano note for these gorgeous chord progressions.
I can't thank you enough for all of those exercises. They are so amazing!
you are so welcome!
Thank you Lisa.... your a wonderful teacher..
That girl has brought endless joy to my life. I could never repay her. She is the gift that keeps on giving.❤
I love it and I'm impressed every piece of piano lesson 👏👏👏👌❤️🇵🇭
Fantastic!! Inspiring!!
Beautiful chord progressions and melody in all of them.
Thanks for being here :)
It working i loved it
Appreciate this video. Great sounding progressions! How would you typically tackle this? Would you pick a key signature and then pick the chords? Or pick the chords first and designate the most fitting notes for the melody?
I always struggle thinking outside the box on how to fit notes outside of the key signature to include some variation. Any recommendations?
Perfect! thank you
Glad it helped!
Thank you again for sharing. So good! 🎹🎶🌲👌
Progression 3 is gorgeous! .. it is so pretty! 🎶🇳🇿
So glad you liked it!!!
Love it!! I would by pass your videos till I just thought, "Ok. I'll watch this." Boy!! I'm so glad I did. This will help me in my warming up. God bless you! Keep up the inspiring teachings.
Glad you decided to stop by!
I like the first one. I'm a beginner. Was hard at first but I started trying the chords right handed and the broken chords left handed, and doing a little arpeggio on the last chord with both hands and it was sounding very nice.
Thanks!
very simple and clear to follow thanks! pls keep these up!
Glad you like them!
wonderful🎉
Great content and great inspiration. Thank you
beautiful , love from India.. i really was looking for such creative piece, where i can go freely with things.. love it..
This is so great. I learn something new today!
These are all awesome. I'm loving the first progression. But I can easily see experimenting with the other two. My wife even said, "keep playing...that sounds really good."
Thats the sign!!
Really cool stuff, thanks....
thank you, thank you thank you ❤❤❤
Thank you. You guys are great. 😃👍
Thank you!
You're welcome!
I believe the last note in the first progression is D#, not E# like it says on the screen:)
Nice lesson, thanks!
Thanks so much for being a part of it with us!
Merci beaucoup 👍🏻 Beautiful chord progressions indeed. Got a request. Could you specify in which scale are we ? Are we in tonal or modal scale ? I started piano 1 year ago. Very interesting. Anyway, keep it going. Great channel 😊👍🏻
Very informative, thank you.
Wspaniałe ćwiczenia...ale to Pani jest cudowna .dziękuję..thank you so much🥰
Beautiful 👌👌👏
This is great! Thank you, but one question... in the first progression, the G# chord... You're saying it's G# -C-E#. Playing an E# there doesn't sound right to me. Do you mean G#-C-D#?Or maybe I'm not understanding correctly..? Thank you, I really love these lessons!
Thanks a million times
I am so glad that I`ve found you! From the very first time I saw your videos! You had me at CDE!
Very sneaky and effective way of teaching moonlight sonata. You’re amazing.
That is very good and educative.
Sounds like Moonlight Sonata. I play it on guitar. Beautiful song and yes, minor is nice way to play !
you are the best :)!
This channel is By far my favourite music teacher I’ve ever had
I dont think it will take much convincing!!

Brilliant.. kindly play some chords on 7/8 time signature just like this.thanks
I like your channel 👍👍👍
Very nice sounding chords. What are their keys or numbers? Looks like some chords are borrowed or altered but i can be wrong.
Hello ma'am..
Pianote's been a virtual teacher since months..I'd love to watch n learn from your content.
I have a request..can u please refer me some vintage sad chord progressions or pop songs to try make some music and for songwriting too..!?
This is awesome. Gonna see if I can use these in some Christmas songs we’re doing. Maybe as transitions. Also, potentially for our house of worship. Thank you.
Let us know how it goes :) and merry christmas!
IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT HOW AMAZING HER VOICE SOUNDS OMG
Ma'am can you tell me iam beggnar in piano so tell. Me in your channel which video i start seeing serials wise and practice them
2. song: Sting - Shape of My Heart ♥️
one of the best!
You are awesome. Inspired at age 56. My childhood piano teacher turned me off . Chan from Malaysia
great dear mam..love from bangladesh
Do more sad/emotional chord progressions pleaseeee
For progression number two - everything seems to be in key for Dminor until the C# when it resolves to the A. Even though it sounds good of course. So what key is that progression in then? Sorry i'm new & still trying to understand all this theory
Just curious what key that first progression is in? I generally can heard the chord qualities and figure out what key a progression is in, but I think the inversions and the G# at the end is throwing me off… thank you!
2nd chord progressions resembles Sting’s song ❤ shape of my heart
Brutha T loves your channel and will practice these minor progressions. Peace. Heredaktor Fravel:)
HEY CAN YOU PLS DO SOME CHRISTMAS, WINTER CHORDS?😃
Can you also mention which scales these chords fall in
Shape Of My Heart?
SUBLIME ❤❤🌹🌹j'ai du mal à vous lire mais j'adore votre votre chaine ❤❤❤❤
Here we go
Ilike
Please don’t stop
Was the second song Classical Gas?
First one kinda sounds like parts of Elton John's, "Funeral for a Friend". Yes?
4:00
Sting
Please F minor scale and chords from Do to Do
the second one is from a song by Sting correct.
😊
moonlight sonata of course
cant deny that progression
Is the second one Sting Shape of My Heart?
Its pretty much the same!
Can you do winter by Vivaldi
ill put it on the list!
Golden Hour!? (PS) please do a tutorial!
G# = G# - C - Eb
Yes or g# - c - d#
Since there are 12 keys in an octave, so if we learn all their Major and Minor, that means there are only 12 x 2 = 24 chords to learn really?
Curious why you called the last chord g sharp and not a flat?
Sounds like moonlight sonata
Good ears ;)
3:58 sounds familiar, whats the song?
Sting - shape of my heart
#1 sounds like the theme to the tv show Fringe.
the fringe tv theme is literally my fav theme song of all time--- I play it on piano sooooo much!
it was actually written by JJ Abrams for the show. Fringe is one of my top tv shows ever
🌹🧡🧡👼🏻😘
Moonlight sonata
sounds like moonlight sonata
1:10 I believe has a typo. You say "D sharp", but the text reads "E#"
Lisa... U Cud sing over this moonlight sonata and it will sound fabulous..
The proof of the pudding is in eating it...
Isn't that first one Für Lisa by Chuck Von Berry?
hahahhaa pretty much exactly
