Being in an 3rd world tiny Kingdom of Eswatini, I am amazed to watch a humble, loving mom, teaching millions of 🎹 lovers how to play with simplicity. In my country our women don't get much interest in playing instruments but are traditionally more happy with singing in the choir than learning to play. Thanks for igniting my passion for music. Be blessed Madam

I haven't played the piano in 20 years and just got an electric one. Was immediately sad because I forgot literally everything. Watched this video and it brought back so much muscle/note memory that I started riffing and it sounded pretty good. Thank you!

Your videos are so helpful. I've played and written on guitar for decades, but I've been stuck on piano for years. I can play all the chords but have had issues playoing melodies. I have zero interest in learning to read music so all this is perfect for me. Thank you for your smile and instruction.

This is great! Thank you, but one question... in the first progression, the G# chord... You're saying it's G# -C-E#. Playing an E# there doesn't sound right to me. Do you mean G#-C-D#?Or maybe I'm not understanding correctly..? Thank you, I really love these lessons!

Appreciate this video. Great sounding progressions! How would you typically tackle this? Would you pick a key signature and then pick the chords? Or pick the chords first and designate the most fitting notes for the melody?
I always struggle thinking outside the box on how to fit notes outside of the key signature to include some variation. Any recommendations?

For progression number two - everything seems to be in key for Dminor until the C# when it resolves to the A. Even though it sounds good of course. So what key is that progression in then? Sorry i'm new & still trying to understand all this theory

I’m sure no one can answer this. I play guitar but recently I’m teaching myself piano (mostly from your videos). Why can’t I use my right hand thumb to make chords without it feeling like torture? It feels unnatural having to twist my right hand the way I am. Anyone else have to go through this when they started out?
