Always felt rather sorry for Sporus. He was a slave who caught Nero's eye. He had no rights, no power or say in anything. His only escape was to commit suicide.

There is no other historical person who makes me feel as much sorrow as Sporus does. Or whom I want to hug as much as I want to with Sporus. If anyone here is interested in Sporus and wants to learn more about him, and perhaps is searching for literature about him, I highly recommend the "Nero and Sporus" series by S.P. Somtow. There are thus far two books, and a thrid one is in the making. These books bring Sporus to life, and make you feel for him greatly. All I want is to give him a hug, to be honest. Poor boy ...

This video seems to be truly meaningful... As very interesting to be watching it every time. About Roman Emperor Nero's lifetime is wonderful to know more of that.
I mean, it can be better to explain us everything of Emperor Nero's biography than to study Roman Empire history at the university.
I have no idea of who was Sporus in past, so it is my first time 😮. I admit that anyway. Mr. Panagiotis Constantinou, thank You very much for good interests in Emperor Nero's biography!! With my good respect, great loyalty and honest heart ❤🙏🙏🙏🙏. By the way, have Your peaceful weekend!!

This was very interesting. I've been watching a few videos about Nero and his reign recently, and to actually see the faces of Poppea Sabina and Sporus was quite powerful. They were the victims of Nero's cruelty who barely get a voice. Thank you for the video

What is interesting to remember about Nero is that although in the histories of the time he was remembered as a monster, it appears that he was quite popular amongst the ordinary people of Rome. Despite being dead for a good period of time, there was more graffiti about Nero in Pompeii than any other emperor. Also, there were a few "False Nero" pretenders who tried to start rebellions in parts of the Greek East. The picture of Nero is a lot more complicated than people realise.

He kicked his pregnant wife to death then had a teenage boy castrated and married him because he looked like the wife that he killed.

He lit people on fire and had a bizarre relationship w his mom and wife. He probably killed poppia in a rage. I know the anti Christian revisionists are out in force. Still not buying it. My family is from Italy. The 666 in the Bible is Nero Kaiser. Those common people hated Nero.

🤣, beati a voi. Dove studiate? Sui libri delle favole? 😂😅😂, non si sa' nemmeno se è esistito "quel povero ragazzo" 😅...

Wow! I really liked how you made them look real. It's scary. Nero was terrible. I cried when he fed the christians to the lions, And they thought it was funny. I was mad at GOD for letting that happen, And they killed Peter too and hung him upside down on the cross. Just terrible.
