Hey ShyWizard, I had a quick question about a navMesh. Can I create a custom cow pasture on rolling hills? Do I just move each plane around horizontally? Do I need to tilt each plane and form it to the terrain? Not sure it is even possible. Thanks for any input and love all your tutorials as they have helped me immensely.
Imo the animal husbandry system for FS19 was never intended to be setup with a predefined area on a map & only to be purchased as a placeable in game. Because of this the way the navmesh is created it was only ever intended for flat terrain, of course it is possible to slope the terrain slightly & have the planes used to create the navmesh match that by rotating them. This is where things can go wrong if the slope angle is to great & animals will disappear into the ground or even float above the ground. So for rolling hills imo i do not think that would be possible, but maybe i will be proven wrong.
Thanks for the reply ShyWizard. Makes sense. I am going to give it a shot and hope for the best. Sounds like tilting the planes is what I will try; certainly going to take some time. It can't be any worse than that insanely stupid field dimension process!
At 13:30, surely they are a different color in their own i3d because there's no longer a sun light illuminating them?
Great video, The only problem I had was grazing did work, Do you have any advise on how I can apply grazing to my custom animal pasture?
Cows cows and more cows, it's all about the cows part two!
