Great to hear Nida! :) You're more than welcome! 🙂
Thanks Mike. Very clear to understand. Last year at 75, I don't mind the world knowing I had a robotic hysterectomy for precancer cells, and incontinence wasn't a huge problem, but I'm conscious that i should be doing pelvic floor exercises regularly to strengthen all those wonderful muscles to prevent that problem of incontinence. (Also 'pushed out' 3 kids). With men, I know it is vitally important because my husband had prostate cancer, and whilst he was unable to have a prostatectomy, (too late because cancer had spread), I know how important it is for men, because I talk to them. (Nursing Background). So thanks mate. I had a book here on Pelvic Floor Exercises, but having a visual presentation is SO MUCH BETTER.
Thank you for the story and feedback Barbara! - It is an important topic for everyone and great that you are so knowledgeable about it. Keep up the great work!
Another exercise video by Mike that truly explains how to do the pelvic exercise. Most just say try to pause urinating and release. Thanks Mike!
You're welcome Sheila! 🙂
Crucial pre-and post-operative exercises, very well presented.
Thank you for your feedback Christopher. Keep up the great work.
Excellent video, Mike! Thorough, clear and one that includes info for the men, not just the women. Many thanks! 🤗🇨🇦
You’re welcome Alida! 🙂
I will definitely do these exercises daily. I sincerely hope I will feel BETTER, sooner than later. RADITION therapy really did a number on my pelvic area! Any little improvement will make me so happy! Thanks Mike for addressing these needed exercises.
HI MIKE, I JUST WATCHED YOUR PELVIC EXERCISE AND IT IS VERY HELPFUL. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. CINDY
Glad it was helpful Cindy! And thank you! 🙂
Thank you! Completed this one today.
When I had a radical prostatectomy (removal of the prostate to treat/cure prostate cancer) on April 14, 2009, doing exercises like this (kegal exercises) and doing some fitness training in general weeks before the surgery helped me get through the surgery and recover much more quickly than I would have otherwise. I was amazed at how my body healed. Thank-you for reminding me about these exercises, and giving me more knowledge about the pelvic floor and why it is important to continue these exercises; I had not kept them up after my recovery. I was told just last week (finally) that I have been cured of prostate cancer; doctors seem very reluctant to say 'cured.' I will celebrate by bringing those exercises back into my life. Thanks again, Mike, for these videos, and for sharing in my celebration of being cured from cancer.
That is so great to hear John. I am so glad to hear the news and happy that you can continue with these exercises. Keep up the great work and congratulations.

This one of the best exercises I have come across for both memebers of the public and health care workers. Clear and precise use of plain English to describe the physiology and anatomical structures and functions. Well Done Mike!

I appear to be a little late in response here. However, I have to say, I am now 2 months since a hysterectomy for cancer. I did get pelvic floor exercises like you start this video, but since 6 weeks I have used your additional ones as shown in your link. I really have appreciated these and the explicit way you demonstrated them. Thank you.
I hope all is going well for you Grace!
g'day! no issues here but a great exercise to add to the regular routine. Thank you!

Thanks for sharing Kathy, I am glad this has been helpful for you. Keep up the great work.
Thanks Mike! Very important and rarely addressed about the down under....FROM THE DOWN UNDER! ( Sorry couldn't pass it up...!). Tom
Love your comment, Tom. Great to live in the land 'DOWN UNDER' and care for all those muscles 'DOWN UNDER'. You have given me a good laugh
haha good one Tom. Glad you enjoyed! 🙂
Just discovered this, having read a Daily Telegraph article on disrupted sleep which mentioned pelvic floor muscles. I did not know I had a pelvic floor!! I will start these immediately and increase them as advised. Perhaps every lift or elevator should have a notice saying 'Pelvic Floor' as a reminded that these muscles exist and you can do the exercises as you ascend or descend!
That sounds like a great idea Ian! Best of luck with it all!
Hi Mike - watching
Good work Shama! Hope you find it helpful!
Guess it won't hurt to give it a try
Would you recommend using a "thighmaster-like" device for men to strengthen pelvic floor muscles, in addition to the exercise routine you demonstrate?
I really appreciate this Mike. I've always hated Kegels, but I wasn't doing them correctly. I have a question: was does the video say 5 best exercises for strengthening the pelvic floor? I'm only seeing one for women and one for men.
I have no idea why it had that Mira! 😀 I must have used an old template and skipped over taking it out. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
I do these exercises sitting on the 'bus!
That is great June, good idea.
Can the pelvic exercises help seniors, 80 years old. What has been your experience. How much time does it take for them to improve if they exercise regularly. Arun Bhagat
My brain and Kegel can not seem to get on the same page; I might be be making this more complicated that it needs to be or maybe I am just one of the uncoordinated, but I can’t seem to get a hold of this technique. I think it is hard.
Yes it can be hard to locate Peggy. Keep practicing. If you can stop 'your flow' mid toilet then you have located it. Let me know how you go.
cool fun
✌️
Should we be doing this every day?
Yes although listen to your body and take rests as you need them.
Thank you for answering.
😉
🙃
Gee I wonder WHY us women have pelvic issues? Could it be my now six foot five and half son I had to crank out of me? I was NEVER the same. Any one want to give me a witness out there?
