Good line-up! Few are hampered by low-profile road tires as standard, but just a set of proper tires and rims change their capabilities greatly💪
It’s fun to see all the new features on these vehicles, but I’m still happy with my 99 Silverado. It’s gets the job done, and I could actually afford it lol.
One could argue the Rubicon and Bronco when spec properly would out perform the G Wagon. Also as a Jeep GRAND Cherokee owner, I'm surprised it's not on this list but I'm even more surprised the 4x4 enthusiasts in the comments keep missing the "GRAND" part.

Cherokee Trailhawk will probably smoke some of these off road. Sorry. Especially with a 2 inch lift. An Armada would have gotten stuck where I went today to be honest. 2 inch lift and tire upgrades you're hitting defender numbers. With just 2 inch lift and 30.6 inch tires I'm at 40° approach angle , 28° break over, 40° departure... It cost less than a thousand bucks to do that upgrade...
Rear locker , 56:1 crawl. It's no joke...
Cherokee Trailhawk rarely gets talked about because the Wrangler is always talked about.
If the Cherokee Trailhawk were sold by another brand they would say it was a serious contender against a lot of these vehicles. They just don't bother mentioning it because it's not Jeeps best.
Just so you know, the Nissan Armada (Patrol.. how is called in the rest of the world) might just be king with these new model, smokes the Land Cruiser in the tests I saw!

The Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk is literally better then most of these vehicles and comes with a mechanical rear locking differential stock, how is this not on the list…?

The new Nissan Patrol as we know it in Australia 🇦🇺 is quite a poor off road vehicle if compared to the GXL Landcruiser.

These vehicles may have some very good 4x4 capabilities and some cool options, but you may want to think about the fact that these vehicles are in the top tier luxury S.U.V. categories and I'm quite confident in that a large number of people who have these vehicles are not going to take them out and go to the max off road driving spots to see how well they operate in the 4x4 extreme driving..I know that there is no way in hell that I am going to take my brand new lexus luxury vehicle out and through 3 feet of mud and or up the side of a mountain over rocks in my new G Wagon, 90,000 lexus, and 185,000 G Wagon, maybe the Toyota or Nissan but not the other ones 😀
Why there are no mitsubishi models? We're they considered? Aren't they in US?

With the maintenance cost and also time and stress having to live inside the garage I would go for the Toyota. since I have my land cruiser my friends always invite me to their land cruiser party just so there is at least one reliable vehicle 🤣🤣🤣🤣
If you do not mention Subaru/Cherokee in the top 10 capable off-road SUV- I don't think the list is complete. Range Rover may have luxury but the Cherokee Trailhawk literally can go places a Range rover ( minus defender) owner can never think of

Trailhawk is overpriced junk, didnt even make it up the test course before wrecking its own 4wd system then crying for dealer on car experts suv offroad test.
I'm glad that in the Internet world we are free to say anything 😊 sadly I hardly saw the top 10 vehicles mentioned here in the mountain trails.

@@sosna1443 i mean the ground clearance of gwagon and approach departure angles are really less, so even with 3 diff locks it won't able to even start climbing most extreme offroad chalanges

Bro how can you even says it’s king of off road if it doesn’t come with a straight axel? The true king is the FJ-80 triple locked this is pinnacle of off road capability and they stopped making them in 1997
@@german7744 Mitsubishi pajero is the king because it was the world off-road rally racing champions and have been put in to the Guinness book of world records, for Toyota any of Toyota brand since 1979 the Dakar off-road rally racing champions it never ever win or get any tittle awards if Toyota is good enough at engine and transmission gearbox locker why it never ever get any champion winner since this many years compete in this rally until coming 2019 when Mitsubishi no more include in Dakar off-road rally racing champions then Toyota can become the winner
