The music is based on "Cumbia", a colombian/indian folkdance and music from the 1500 most used to chase away the grief and sorrow... so she sing "The Cumbia of the boredom"... Cumbia nowdays is a very popular music in latinamerica. This song is a fusion of tecnopop, urbanlatin, rap, italian and classic music... you can even hear that they use "Glockenspiel " just before the "a capella" piece. You should also know that the lyrics of the song really are the story of Angelinas own life and childhood...

The video is highly symbolic, her hair braided and hung like clothes to dry are her chains together with the women and girls who cuddle her, literally making her a prisoner of La Noia, "the boredom".
In the song she talks about boredom as a synonym for depression, sadness, resentment and how she tries to accept these negative feelings to transform them into a way to be even more positive when she feels happiness ("pain makes the greatest joys"). And she talks about how, however, the people around her are often unable to understand her and accept that she is fighting and overcoming her traumas ("many people see drama in things, and I would like to tell them that I'm fine but then they look at me badly") and who wears her "crown of thorns" with her head held high because she doesn't let herself be crushed and indeed, she uses her past pain to appreciate the joy of the present even more.
The song is highly autobiographical, Angelina has a painful past, her father was a well-known Italian singer who died of a heart attack during a concert when she was 13 years old and the following day her uncle also died during the funeral wake, shocking her family and Italy. Her mother, also a well-known Italian singer, therefore decided to move to Milan to distance her children from the journalists and snake relatives/friends who were tormenting them and start over. Angelina lost a year of school due to the trauma but in the end she managed to face and overcome her pain and start living again and La Noia is literally the story of her life, in fact she won three times in Sanremo, she obtained first place at the festival and the lyrics of her songs received two other important awards.
La Noia is a song with happy sounds but it has a very important and authentic message that this almost allegorical video transmits perfectly.
