As a native Midwesterner, I am impressed with how these guys nailed the Midwest accent. I never noticed or thought we had an accent until I moved to California and definitely notice it now.
Loved the close-ups of Bill drinking in the midst of Fred's lines and not even slightly breaking. I would never drink while listening to these guys for fear of spitting it out at any moment.
Omg Fred can't be not likeable! He played a serial killer in the show Last Man on Earth and he was like the sweetest character on those episodes. It also made him have a scarier appeal, though...
@@johngabrielmercado7047 I don’t think so. He’s very talented but all his exes have said he’s an awful person. On the Stern show he admitted he was awful to them.
I have seen all the documentaries these are based on. I have watched seasons 1 and 2 of "Doc Now" and am trying to find all of seasons 3 and 4. I Absolutely LOVE their treatment of the original material and Bill Hader, Fred Armisen are brilliant/hilarious in almost everything they have ever done. I did a spit take when I saw the Photo of them portraying the Beales from Grey Garden. That was the first "Doc Now" I saw and now I have to see them all. Bills portrayal of James Carville is also a bit too spot on and F-n hilarious!
This is no joke. My great uncle was on Dave's swim team growing up, at lunch one day they started throwing hot dogs in the pool, he swears they came up with "Will it Float" together!
Anonymous Anthropoid After he left that seemed to signal the downfall and spinning drain spiral of SNL. Hasn't been the same since. He's a comedic genius.

HA HA HA HA..!! Not mixed messages at all, they're so happy for him while slurping coffee and bitterly staring off into space. I laughed my ass off at this when they did it, and it made such an impression in my brain I had to watch it again years later.
That's funny my extended family lives in Indiana and at my cousins wedding there were several jokes about how my uncle has all these convoluted connections to David Letterman. He really is a folk hero inthat state.
Born and raised in Los Ángeles but I have lived in Indiana off an on throughout my life and I can definitely say that Bill Hader nailed that Midwest accent. It had a slight hint of a Chicago accent but that makes sense given that Chicago is only several hours away.
I laughed so hard at the barber behind Bill Hader during his interview that's using the razor on the "customer" even though the razor is nowhere near the "customer's" head.
LOL the two funniest men on the planet. Comics are my heroes. (Originally, I incorrectly typed in “Comics are my herpes.” I removed it but put it back because I knew these guys would laugh at that. Or at least chuckle. Cause they’re so DRY.)
Oh, I remember Dave. He was that older kid on the block that always did weird things. Like that one time he tore off all the Velcro he could find to see how much weight it could support. Velcro was very new at that time, very expensive, so it wasn't on a lot of things. How he found enough to support the weight of that racoon I'll never know.
My next door neighbor was in Dave’s high school class at Broadripple High School, which is about three blocks away. He never talks about Letterman. I only know because I asked him.

@JDMime Fred Armisen is the master of accents; any continent, country, state, city, to the town! Except for Jamaican.
To be fair, Bill Hader is from Oklahoma, so he naturally has our accent.
Everyone has an accent, you just don't notice your own if you're surrounded by it

Bill Hader's Hoosier voice is the best I have ever heard. I can't believe he isn't from Indiana.
