Interesting research. I've long wondered which Pharaoh Joseph may have served under. I've spent some time trying to figure which Pharaoh would have been the Exodus Pharaoh. A lot of people think it was Ramesses II, but I prefer the idea that it was an earlier Pharaoh from the 18th dynasty, either Thutmose III or his son Amenhotep II. If you're right about who Joseph was, then I think it would put Joseph in almost the right timeline for Thutmose III or Amenhotep II to be the Exodus Pharaoh because more than 400 years would have passed. Though 12th dynasty is a little earlier than I would have expected for Joseph. I would have expected him a little later during the Hyksos period, maybe in the 15th dynasty. It's hard to pinpoint exactly who the Egyptian rulers of Genesis and Exodus were, but it's fascinating trying to figure it out!
It can't be Ramesses because the death of Jacob is well known to be long before. But there are numerous other reasons why it happened in the 16th or 15th century BC. Also, he 3rd-century Egyptian scribe and priest Manetho states the name of the Pharaoh at the time of the Exodus. Merneptah Son of Ramesses the Great d. 1203BC , Amenmesse The stele of Merneptah was discovered by Flenders Petrie on which is engraved the name of Israel as Isirar. Also the towns of Ashkelon, Gezer, Yano’am. Stele dated to 3226 yo or 1203 BC. Thus Israel is already established in Canaan at the time of Merneptha. This could never happen if the Exodus had occurred under Mernetptah's father.
I think you nailed it. Imo , which isnt worth much, thutmoses III was moses “brother” for lack of better terms. And he dies, then his kid amenhotep II takes the throne and is exodus Pharaoh
Thuthmose 1 was the father of Thuthmose 2 and his main wife Hatshepsut (who was the Pharaoh’s Daughter that drew Moses from the Nile), Thuthmose III and Hatshepsut would have been the “Pharaoh” when Moses was first exiled after killing the Egyptian since they were co-rulers, for a time. Amenhotep II would have been the Pharaoh when Moses returned from exile. The Pharaoh who first “enslaved” the Israelites would have been Amose, who was the ruler to unite the lower and upper kingdoms. Amose was the ruler of the upper kingdom while the Hykos were the rulers of the upper kingdom, near the delta. Amose “enslaved” or kicked out the Hyksos between 1580 and 1530 BC.
Dr Douglas Petrovich would agree with you. He shows him as Sobekemhat serving under Amenemhat III. He even has heiroglyphs depicting Ephraim and Manasseh.
Excellent! This fits perfectly into the correct time period of when the Exodus would have had to taken place according to the prophecy given to Abraham.
The Ice Age was only one with earlier fluctuations with a total collapse in 1500 bc and sea level rise of 200 to 700 feet at maximum rise, flooding all the coastal cities and island civilizations and causing rapid desertification of the Middle latitudes according ancient Egyptian records, with geological catastrophes and solar system catastrophes. Followed by the hi technology megalithic Bronze Age collapse and invasions of the sea peoples, desertification of the Green Sahara and the super lakes cutting off trade with Central Africa etc...
Just dawned on me, that Hyksos rulers like Yaqub-Har (Canaanite-Levantine form of Jacob/Yaakov), Sakir-Har and so on mean that Potiphar might really be Potip-Har or something.
Did he serve under senusret 3? The way moses tells it, he made his name under daddy and had the crowns blessing to do whatever when his bros came back He had to have been the one the divert the nile to the faiyum
I noticed, given how long Joseph lived, its very possible he served under multiple pharaohs. They also didn't have retirement pensions back then either, which means people might not have retired(?) Also is it possible that Ramses was a title and not only a name that multiple pharaohs could have used?

@@truthtransistorradio6716 but we don't have Hebrews in Canaan until roughly 1300s BCE when we have Armana Letters from Jebusite kings complaining about Habiru/Apiru invaders and then a century later mentioning a people (not a kingdom or city state) called "Israel" in 1208 BCE which may be the time of Judges.
