- The holidays are over but we aren't finished quite yet! We have to take down all of our decorations and then open a few packages and letters from YOU that we have been holding for months now. That means we owe you a GIANT apology for taking so long to thank you. We discuss the things we would like to improve on this year and one of those things is getting better about prioritizing responses to your questions. To help with that we have initiated Battleground Biscuits memberships in 3 affordable tiers. You hit the nail on the head Ashley….. military families have a a way of bonding with other military families because we know that isolation feeling… sometimes listening to your channel makes me feel like “ ok.. someone else understands the struggle and at the same time I would not change this struggle because I am so proud of my husband and son for both serving in the Army.
Right?! Tracking the analytics is a hard habit to break but I just find it so interesting! And you’re exactly right…sometimes hearing the things we think spoken out loud is all it takes to feel valued or justified. 🫶🏼

Our first ever trip to SOG and Disney world was amazing! We didn’t do half of what we wanted we were so busy hahaha. Definitely prefer the peaceful breezy ferry over monorail. My daughters 5th birthday was amazing! Thank you for your videos!

Booked our first stay at SOG and of course went to RUclips and came across your channel . We normally stay at a Disney resort but finally scored a reservation at Shades and have been stalking your channel to check out the resort !
2 adults , only concern is rope dropping , where should we ask for a room request to get to the busses asap in the mornings ?
Hey! Congrats on getting a reservation! Thats one of the hardest steps since it fills up quick so you're already off to a good start. Thank you so much for watching the videos as well! That means so much to hear it has been helpful 💞
If I were going to rope drop I would make sure to request a room close to the lobby. That could mean magnolia OR palm side since the lobby is located between them both. But if you let them know you'd like to be as close as possible to the bus stop they can place you accordingly (as long as rooms in those areas area available) My tips for you would just be to get familiar with the bus schedule (these are posted every week on the SOG website but you'll also receive a print out when you check in) and then just make sure you're on the first bus to TTC in the mornings. We have a video where we rope drop magic kingdom if you want to see how it went for us just search "rope drop" on the channel. Hope that helps you!
Merry Christmas and happy new year! Travis and insend our love and support! And glad to see you guys are healthy and doing well. We will be going back to shades in December, staying a whole week this time (suites are already booked, sad face) I have to say your tips where a God send and helped us to have our best time. Shaded was amazing, and we were treated so well. Oh, and we hit buckees all the way down (event hit Daytona lol) oh man I miss apple butter (good fresh stuff) I lived up in independence, Missouri for a good while growing up. Trav and I plan to also join your membership starting in Feb.

I am so happy you like the Apple Butter. Ashley , you eat it like a real Missourian.. on toast! On a side note we went to the Blues Lightning game on Dec. 19th ( we are stationed in Tampa at MacDill) we were all decked out in our Blues gear and the Lightning spanked us. !! Uug! But it was a great game. My husband just left for a 6 month TDY to Germany. I will be going to visit when it’s a bit warmer over there. I have watched all your videos on Germany too!!
