First off tt2 ain’t through intamin … Second the higher you go the more problems you’ll have … look how many kinda last and tt1 had …. Idk it would be cool if it succeeded cause then parks in the states can adopt this and make it better
I'm genuinely confused how they think the ride will work with 15x the LSMs seen on any other ride in the 40°C+ (105°F) heat all day. I don't know where they're getting that power either. Could you imagine the downtime on it too, having to inspect the entire second launch for issues??
This coaster is going to really be an experiment. The amount of force that train is going to be subject to is insane. The desert heat is going to be brutal on those LSM motors. Lots of moving parts that have to work together perfectly with a 155 mph train flying over it. Hopefully it works out, but it's a massive risk.
Guys there a lot of comments talking about whether this will be broken all the time and all that but most of the issues with large amounts of LSMs are fixable but tend to be really expensive fixes. Luckily this park is being funded by a Saudi prince so they'll simply throw money at it until there are no more issues
Tbh, I kinda think it would've been a good idea to transform the cliff drop into a 120 something degree drop. That would give it record for steepest drop and highest beyond vertical drop, and if you count a beyond vertical drop as an inversion, that's a few more records. I don't know if that would even work with the train length though, so maybe it's impossible
More so only the rich are willing to get to experience this but the thing is give it 30 years and the rest of us will get to experience a ride like this
Why all the negative comments? Do you honestly think a company like Intamin would take on such a project, to let it fail? Intamin have the best LSM technology and will have no problem getting this train to the top of the cliff. Furthermore, I have no doubt that if this coaster wasn't going to be safe, it wouldn't be built, simple as that (Not really a fan of the word deathtrap). Of course there is a lot of money being pumped into this project and likely that not a lot is forthcoming from Six Flags themselves, that's pretty obvious. But come on, you've got to be excited to ride this, yeah? I know, I'll be on a plane, bring it on! (Disclaimer - I totally understand and respect those that would not travel to this country based on human rights and Saudi Arabia's stance on the gay community)
Even though I don’t think it would fail, considering Kingda Ka’s reliability (a 450 foot rollercoaster) it would probably be even worse on a 600 foot exa coaster.
I don't think it is unsafe or that it couldn't work in theory. But Intamin isn't known for their reliability. Saudi Arabia isn't known for projects that come to fruition. Add in some humans rights abuses, you get a very skeptical and disgruntled public
