    I am so glad that Robin got to reunite with his Mindy co-star before he passed. A great loss to the world of comedy, but we still have all his great work that he left with us.

      Omg SAME!! They had such a special connection. The interview they did with Pam in his documentary “Come Into My Mind” was wonderful. When they ask her about the day she found out he passed, 😢it was heartbreaking. She couldn’t even talk about it.

    I'm 29 years old. Mork and Mindy is one of my favorite shows. It never ceases to make me happy.
    I was devastated when I heard what Robin Williams did!
    All I know is that people never want to end their lives. They want to end the pain.
    Robin was a hero to so many and I'm sure if he could come back he would tell us that he can still be our hero if we never do what he did! If we start to feel that low that we reach out to someone or a hotline and hang on for all we're worth so that we don't hurt the people we love and we can finish what we were put on this earth to do.
    Robin will always be here through his characters. Each one from Mork to the very last meant something to him; carried a message he wanted to share with the world.
    I always wanted to be Mindy and have an Orkin living in my apartment. At least I'll always have one living in my heart!

      @scottiegirl2041 9 лет назад +6

      Rachel A. I totally agree - he was suffering so much internally and externally, the way I see it now is he was putting himself out of his misery in the end rather than let his Alzheimer's/Dementia get any worse. Otherwise it would have reduced his body to a shell of what it used to be. I wasn't born in the Seventies or Eighties, but from the RUclips clips and my ol' man, Mork and Mindy was hilarious for its time.

      Rachel A. I was bought up on this! I loved watching it after school, Mindy was so sweet and Mork, well Mork!! I have watched Robin since and his talent and beauty ceased to amaze me, indeed a great loss. What you wrote was very lovely. I never saw it that way before- he ended his pain not his life.

    • @scottiegirl2041
      @scottiegirl2041 9 лет назад +5

      Rachel A. I know; maybe with all the doctors and prescribed meds in the world he might've got the right treatment and been with us a little longer.
      I'm just saying, what kind of life would he have had if his body continued to deteriorate and cause him unnecessary suffering? Yes he would still be alive, but he didn't want the world to know he had Alzheimer's yet - sooner or later it would have come out.

    • @raea3588
      @raea3588 9 лет назад +5

      I understand what you mean. I understand why he did it. He also caused his loved one's a lot of pain by doing it too. I'm sure if he had a second chance he would not choose to take his life if only for their sake. But no one really knows another person.
      Take care and God Bless!

    Pam Dawber was the perfect compliment to Robin's off the charts zaniness. We saw it in her facial expressions during every show. Pam was caught off guard by Robin - and we viewers loved that her surprised reactions reflected what we felt at home. "Mork & Mindy" was a one-of-a-kind comedy. Also, kudos to Conrad Janis, who played Mindy's Dad. Check out Conrad as a teenager in "MARGIE". He was a VERY COOL dude back in 1946! ruclips.net/video/QP5uej-LsE0/видео.html

    OMFG This video made me cry not only for the amazing tv show Mork and Mindy was, but Robin Williams. The first time I watched Mork and Mindy was in Nick at Nite back in the 2000 (where you could watched Kennan and Kel, Alf, bewithced, etccc) And I loved it. They only showed season 2 but there was 3 seasons of this show I think. I got the first season on dvd... I will never forget the happinness and view of the world Mork gifted to me. If you have the oportunity to watch this show! DO IT! Robin Williams was so amazing his role as Mork.

      @acricucci9760 5 лет назад

      He probably did reach out to different people in different ways. His diagnosis of Lewy Body Dementia would have resigned him to a cruel, tortuous few years before death. It's a horrible disease.

    • @nevermorenovelist
      @nevermorenovelist 3 года назад

      @@acricucci9760 Exactly. LBD robs you of yourself before it robs you of your life. Honestly, watching the immeasurable capacity he had before now being stripped away (in addition to the hallucinations, the catastropic depression LBD gives you, and the fugues) likely played a huge part in his decision not to put himself _OR_ his family (to say nothing of his fans worldwide) through any of that. I would much rather remember all the greatness that was Robin Williams and know he ended his life basically on his own terms than watch him fade and wither away as a shell of what he used to be.
      Rest gently, Robin. You gave all of us all you were capable of giving, and when you could give no more, you took a quiet exit stage left. If there's such a thing as a shared afterlife, I hope I get to share a smile with you. Thank you for all that you were.

      Oh, I thought it was the two of them in a series again. Pam Dawber should do more acting. Personally, I am a Robin Williams fan of course; however that does not mean that I track an actor or actresses next production. I usually just flip through celebrity news listings in Yahoo and what ever they are sharing... I pick up on it. Same if I am on Google or Bing.... I read Variety occasionally however not all the time. It probably takes a lot of marketing to capture the attention of an audience for a new show.

    Her hair was 100000X better in the interview post-Mork & Mindy than during the show. Color, style...everything. She looked younger and hotter too.

    Mork and Mindy was my first introduction to Robin Williams. It was a great happy go lucky show, so sad what happened to Robin Williams!

    I never heard about this show because I'm a news junky and always watch CNN. Life was simpler before 24 hour news....RIP Robin.

    The original actor for "Mork" on "Happy Days" had quit a replacement was desperately needed. Robin Williams was a stand up comedian on the verge of going back to S.F. when he was discovered.

    My mom used to watch Mark and Mindy, but I was too scared of Mork. There was one episode in which he goes inside the TV. Does anyone know which episode that one was?

    It sucks at what happened to Robin. I think this is the first time I've seen Pam Dawber since Mork & Mindy, I wondered what happened to her after the show.

      She also was in a series after Mork & Mindy called My Sister Sam. The girl who played her sister was shot to death in real life by some deranged fan thus ending that series. It was a pretty good show too.
