I stayed at the Palms Place prior to closing. I got a room on the STRIP side.. which is great with all the lights! The room was $99 a night.... booked through Trivago. The bed and pillows were like sleeping on rocks and got stiff neck from it. Some of the lights in the room were not working and the toilet was backed up. There was a party going on down the hall. Through the main central ventilation system I could smell the weed coming into my room. My experience. I dont like the idea of not controlling your ac in your room to individual settings. It was either on or off settings. Next time I will stay on the other side rooms as they have individual ac and heat settings, the beds were more comfortable and you can also get a strip view. The palms is great as it is off the strip, you have the imax there, and the buffet, the food court, and the rooms supposedly you are not supposed to smoke in.
(ha ha... that's funny... they put the clear glass infinity pool to stop people from peeing in there... busted...lol)

Great video as always. But I gotta say this. I’ve stayed at the Palms and had friends stay at Palms place. It is NOT a short or quick walk. Not even close. LOL
The walk really didn’t feel that far. That said, the casino wing is much closer to the action. lol

Breaking News: June 1, 2022 Canadians found deceased at AYCE. Cause of death determined to be overeating. Coroner reports they died with smiles on their faces....
The variety at the AYCE was huge, and all those meats - the porchetta, brisket, all looked terrific! Buffets and we don't get along - it requires extreme self-control, that which we barely have! Beautiful hotel room too. Another great episode!

I have got to get to Vegas I haven’t been there in years. I actually lived there for a while. Never gambled and never went to a buffet while living there. I haven't dropped in a long while!! I am going to drop in here next time I go (to the buffet). I am all in on the veggies and fruit. I have learned that you should NEVER eat a lot of heavy stuff in the summer because it can really ruin your trip (trust and believe). I used to go at least twice a month to Vegas with friends for years when I was younger (I live in CA). A bunch of us would get ONE room and chip in around 25/night. Unless you are on your honeymoon, more than 150/night (tax and RESORT FEE) is not necessary because you are (hopefully) out the entire stay except for around 7 hours of sleep, maybe an hour workout at the gym, and a shower (same for Conventions (I used to work in marketing before I was a nurse and went to CES, Catersource, Bar and Nightclub Show, etc..). I would say, if you are under 25, you may be out ALL night and can just skip the hotel and drive back after an overnight. Don't laugh but I used to do that with 4-8 people twice a month). Now, like to plan ahead so great deals can be had.
I also think the Strat is underrated. Don't stay in the cheap rooms but if you book in advance, you can get the next grade up (remodeled) and a great gym (I always work out when I go anywhere), and the Top of the World in the tower (rotating) has THE BEST VIEWS IN VEGAS, PERIOD!!! The drink selection is elevated and I never had a bad time there. Bonus: Next door is a Circle K so, you don't have to pay 5.00 for a water or soda. Get the app and you get daily deals and I win drinks and snacks often. Also, just a short walk down and there is a Walgreens and it is less expensive than the ones on the south part of the strip (price gouging). Nice to see you guys! I just realized why I didn't check in....I was UNSUBSCRIBED...whaaaaa?!!!
Lisa, you are VERY disciplined. When doing buffets, you cannot see the actual plate. I pile it with salad and vegetables. I am actually going in two weeks (haven't been since last fall...longest away from Vegas ever). I will definitely go to this buffet because fruit and veggie prices are way up and I find this a great value. I bought three containers of fruit yesterday and on sale it was 10.00 and I ate it by today (one day). That same amount two months ago was around 3.50)!

We ate at Greene St Kitchen in 2019 in the Palms. It has a definite Wow factor with all the art everywhere. I’ll never forget the way the inside of that restaurant looked. Loved it.

That Brisket looked so good, even the sushi looked pretty good and at half the price of Bacchanal you are making it tough for me to choose a buffet in 3 weeks for my birthday. Hearing great stuff about AYCE at Palms. Lobster Night is Wednesday nights and is $65.00
Looks like you get more bang for your buck at AYCE, imo.
People have been in line for 4 hours on lobster 🦞 night. They apparently close the line at 5PM
So glad you are both back and living it up in Vegas…although I am wishing for more Ireland tours! I will just need to wait! I’ve added Ireland to my travel bucket list…you both made it seem like we all need to visit Ireland because we all need to decompress after the last two plus years of craziness…thank you both for putting so much effort in your videos in making sure we get a good explanation from the accommodations, the food and the atmosphere. We’re going to have to try the Palms before it gets crazy busy…but I am craving food from NOLA, it’s been 19 years since I had some of the food and the last time for Vegas was early 2000 for family wedding. I’m going to follow the lead of Bill and Lisa now…a short 3-4 day trip but my stomach will get me in trouble…Don’t work to hard! Stay healthy and take care!

When the Palms first opened they had a Playboy Tower. I think that is now Palms Place. They were being sold as condos at the time. I think Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey bought one when they were still married. That's probably why you had a full kitchen. Looks great. The buffet looks good but Bacchanal still my fav. Great review!!

I think you two need to get back to work so you both can get some rest from all this traveling and blogs. LOL. I really like the room you have. That refrigerator and microwave alone, is a big plus for me . I also prefer the pool associated with this tower as its seems quite a bit more of a relaxing atmosphere than the other pool. At least for me. I am looking forward to the follow up reviews from the Palms.

The bath tub is not just jetted, it has different settings to adjust the intensity of the jets which makes for a very relaxing bath.

Looks like I need to revisit the Palms! I stayed in the 2-bedroom suite 9 years ago, and it was gorgeous. I LOVED the N9NE Steakhouse. I wonder if it’s still there. I will definitely try the buffet out. They’ve really upgraded the outside as well. Thanks, guys!

The buffet looks great, bigger than the Serrano buffet but I am interested to see if some items are the same since they are now owned by Yaamava. I noticed that there were no garlic prawns like I saw in other reviews of this buffet. I wonder why they weren’t there?
We’ve noticed some items missing or being substituted from other videos we’ve seen. The night we went (Saturday) was not the lobster or prime rib night, maybe the offerings slightly changed on those nights?
