I disagree with the for profit. Everyone needs to pull there weight in a community but profit makes people want more. And non- profits are not out there begging for money all the time. The for -profit needs the non-profit for the tax right off. Taxes are not the answer either.Things need to be the same for everyone across the board that way it's easier to manage.I believe Mr. Pulte the best thing you could do with some of your money is offer a prize amount of whatever for the best ideas to change the world for the betterment of humanity.Where people actually have to right an essay say 500 words or less on there idea of what would make the world a better place.Divide it into age groups or however you would like.Make sure there is a 2nd and 3rd prize also.Set a deadline and reinforce the idea "that you have to earn your way; there are no handouts in life." Donate pend and paper if necessary
Well, a lost war is basically an equivalent of company going bankrupt. A more lenghty title could be "groups never admit failure willfully". Sufficient external force can ruin even the grandest social delusions.
another gem "a group that tries to change its mind falls apart". HAHAHAHAHHAHA But individuals no? Why. Why not. That Steve Jobs like anime cover doesn't automatically make the content quality. Japan too, Science, multiple Software engineering methodologies are based around finding what you were wrong at to make the process better and better, Catholic Church recently, and whoever doesnt' just care about saving face and about actual progress. The title is true only in a shallow world. My product released updates, patches, BUG FIXES. And the for-profit vs non-profit nonsense. LOL Dunno why I expected something closer to truth from a presentation like this
There is one group though, the Jewish people. The only culture to regroup and rebuild a country, that kept the tradition while innovating in every new discipline of the enlightenment. Is it a coincidence that they are the most hated group in history?
Their relative success is due to strong in-group preference and lots of cultural value put on financial success and education. Though, the fact, that its based on religion, and many obscure rituals hardly resonates with Navals philosophy of seeking truth. It probably only proves his point. That even a group, with average inteligence way above worlds average, will never admit that some of their rules are stupid or outdated. Because if that would happen, they would certainly disapear as we know them.
Individuals search for truth, groups search for consensus.
Well said!
Open source software like Blender can definitely change the world
Open source has its place. So does Intellectual property rights.
This is totally unrelated
Damn this one is interesting
Makes sense
Say if there's a non profit company who's goal is to help the poor, how do you improve it by making it for profit?
👍🏻🤧

does this hold true for germany after the war 1945?
Yes
Well, a lost war is basically an equivalent of company going bankrupt. A more lenghty title could be "groups never admit failure willfully". Sufficient external force can ruin even the grandest social delusions.
The exact same thought popped into my head when I read the title
