Prior to this scene, the kid driving the van hears Mickey mentioning that he killed munya hence why he says “Mickey said to not stop for anyone” thus believing Mickey was a serious gangster which he wasn’t. If only he wasn’t that believing.
Honestly, Eli would've had a better chance of actually stopping the convoy if he had, y'know, moved his car right into the middle of the road instead of frantically trying to signal and shout to the drivers.
Then Eli would be dead because hes obstructing the road and thugs dont ask questions they obey orders to the letter and it was dark so they wouldnt know it was Eli so he would be dead. Alcohol was liquid gold back then and people would do ANYTHING to sell it, including shooting random men who block roads in the middle of the night. Im surprised 38 people who liked this comment didn't really think much. about it considering the nature of this business.

What I don't get about this whole season's conflict is why Nucky had to use trucks to get Rothstein his liquor when he controlled Atlantic City's ports and Rothstein himself had an import operation in Long Island. Instead of sending a couple dozen guys in trucks on a long drive from south Jersey to NYC, he could've just repackaged the crates with the booze and labelled them something else like the IRA did with the whiskey they sent over. It wouldn't have had to go through customs if the ship originated in the states.

I thought the AR character was limp from the actor . I just didn’t buy anything he was selling. He was by far the least intimidating character. And he was suppose to be this smart strategy guy but he just seemed like he was a guy pretending to be smart
