West St and tracks. I grew up 1/4 mile from here. In the 70’s, they were going to close this line under CONrail. Good thing not. In 76 I saw the Freedom train go by the Big 4 junction, and could see they stopped right at this crossing. Rode my bike out there in 5 minutes, and they were doing an engine fix. The guys took my through the entire exhibit, solo! I saw 1000’s of trains in 20 years in Berea. My gr gr grandfather was part of the unit🇺🇸 that stole the General out of Big Shanty Georgia in 1862. He received the very 1st Congressional Medal of Honor. I have trains in my blood. One of the best views in the country. 5 trains an hour, 24 hr/day in the 70’s. America moves much through Cleveland. Great city, great people, great weather. 83* in the summer. Not very severe in the winter any longer….🇺🇸🦅🌞‼️
I should have known this was older when I kept looking at 2019 and seeing all the standard cab leaders
Love Berea. Excellent Video

Nice video!
That last train, the one from 54:50, looks like a caterpillar.
Cool!
Wonderful video. When are we gonna see the Wheeling and Lake Erie part 3 Brewster subdivision?
I intend to finish the Brewster Sub part this summer for a release in the fall.
Awesome video have you railfanned there since this was videotaped?
I did two brief stops since this was filmed: once in 2015 and once in 2019.
what is the scanner frequencies for csx?
I believe the road channel for the Berea area is 160.860. I usually used radioreference.com to find the appropriate scanner frequencies.
