Conrail West Slope 1999

Conrail still rules, it looks like mid-train helpers are being tried out. Also some double stack trains have now helpers. Amtrak's F40PH have been replaced with the new Genesis engines. Plenty of Ballast Queens in regular train service.

Conrail did a brilliant job saving northeast railroading. On a visit to Pittsburgh this year, I saw many coal unit trains running.

I can't get over the shot at 18:13, it's so cool to see those sd60ms just peeking out from behind a faster train and just hearing hhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmm from it. I love shots like that. God I wish we had stuff like that today.
