My problem is more subtle than that. Up to recently dictation in messaging or what’s app was defaulted off until I chose to use it. AND after a few seconds of silence it would beep and stop recording. PERFECT! Now (after an update?) the microphone seems to be active by default and when I stop talking it just stays there. If I’m chatting to a friend it picks it all up and types it. Very annoying. I have to tell it to stop by pressing the mic button. The old version was so much more intuitive and less invasive. Can’t find a setting for it. It seems IOS is being messed about with way too much and too often. And it’s more often for the worse. Please stop Apple.

Go to settings > accessibility > voice control and toggle it off

How do you disable the transcription when sending a voice message. It is soooo annoying
On iPhone when I tell Siri to send a message to …. Siri has stopped repeating the message back to me before asking if I want to send it. Why?

When I try to do voice to text, a lot of times my phone will just start duplicating what I’ve said over and over again and the next thing I know, my text says same thing over and over and over again in the text box. Does anyone know what the problem is with that? And what is the fix?
I turned off dictation but if I’m on messenger and not trying to text if I talk it starts to text what I’m saying

Accessibility > Voice Control (not the accessibility in general btw)
Js the accessibility part that's its own setting
😅 so my problem is the beep when you hit the button and the beep after is there a way to get that off
Currently the beeping cannot be turned off.
