One of the worst features on this car is it’s transmission as it is a 5 speed auto which would feel dated compared to a double clutch

I love everything about SLR, the design, the super charger, the wheels, the start button and even the cassette player. That is why this is my ultimate dream car. I like people that has similar taste like mine. And the fact that you have 5 unit of my dream car...I got to be a subscriber to your channel.

Hi Manny, back in the early 2000's I was contracted by McLaren to assemble the bonnet, doors, boot and spoiler for these cars. Got the job because of my aerospace composite background. Worked on roughly S/N 200 - 250. Anyways glad to see appreciation for this beast of a car.
That rumble of the SLR is so iconic to me! This is very definitely one of the best sounds I've heard in my life I love it so much!

My first job was at a Mercedes dealership and when these came out OMG it was an amazing car and the rumbles of the side exhaust was incredible! Definitely one of my favorite modern classic Mercedes!
I love the collaboration between McLaren and Mercedes. Honestly, Mercedes collaborates with other non-super sr organizations, such as maybach and still manages to impress thousands of people with how nice the car is. The SLR Roadster is definitely my favorite simplistic car!

When you slowly realize that the new Electric Mustang SUV thing is actually faster than a SLR.

There are a few very quick electric SUV's starting to surface, there is one in the prototype stage that is doing 0-60 in 3.5 seconds, thats as quick as this McClaren. Bigger cars but much lighter so this looks like it will be the norm soon, so imagine what an electric super car should be able to do, warp factor 3.
