That was what confused me more than a decade ago when they first were released... And then other brands did rereleases of older names... and it was/is hell (bronco may be the only debatable exception)
No, the interior is fucking ugly, hellcat steering wheel has always been Bulky as fuck and looked like shit, its just plain fucking boring, the old interior wouldve looked 10x better
It’s a nice ride. I would’ve left the interior as close to stock as possible with some new gauges, but everyone has their own style and I can’t knock that! Modern interior is nice.
Dude you're a fkn magician with the hellcat swaps. This is already looking better and more organized. It was a disaster when you first took delivery of it. Bravo man🏁🔥👌
Sadly they don’t go with the original design because it isn’t crash friendly and if they tried the engine wouldn’t preform as well because if weight issues
@@lanielbeltran6131 the current hellcat is also over 500 lb heavier, and hardly had any body lines to combat aero. The early non wide body cars have completely flat lines, not much different than this.
Or trying holding the button down. In mainly all push buttons, ik cdjr for sure, you need to hold it in, not just a tap. Idk if they changed the software, but I'm assuming he's running hellcat electronics and wiring too since everything else is, and gauges/displays are too
I'm getting a salvage Hellcat package from Cleveland performance to go into a '67 Dodge Coronet love to get me a guy's ears and get some info and tips.
That’s dope. I’m not an American car guy, German cars only please, but this is BAD ASS! Best styling mixed with best performance and luxuries. Restomods bringin the best of both worlds together!
The 68-69 body style is a beauty! My uncle had a GTX 440 sixpac! It would bring the front tires off the ground! I was too young to really enjoy! I was In The back seat scared to death at like 6-8 yrs old! My mother told me I was scared to go near the car after that 😅😂! Now I wish I was older at that time! He had a Javelin too later!
I do a custom work, nowhere near this scale...yet, but lately I've been amazed at how people don't understand how slight progress can seem and get impatient. Had a similar situation on a retro build and got excited about the 2012 modules powering up from an original 1978 key so when the customer came by I show that as an example of progress and instantly pissed him off. Retro fitted an engine, transmission, wiring harness, IP cluster, and fuel system all in 2 weeks but somehow he felt he should be driving already
I bought a Acura MDX with that problem. Know dash , reverse lights, mirrors, sun roof , windows and know cluster information. 1 fuse caused all of that. One!
We have made leaps and bounds first we got the door to open, than we finally harnessed electricity which displayed on the dash. What’s next windshield wiper motor kicking over? Sky’s the limit. I honestly think it’s your flux, last time I had a problem like that it was the ole flux capacitor. For some reason the conduit piping wasn’t working and found out I can’t-do-it!😂😂 I’m being silly congratulations guys I know how that can be frustrating and slow progress in the bridging trying to make everything match in order to have compatibility. I have to see prior videos to see what you’re using as legacy and what is current. Keep trucking forward.
nice touch with the white dials. I can't tell if they're from the TransAm or Shaker pack because they both run white dials. Just enough of the future with the late 60s touch. The white dials are part of the reason I bought my shaker
Those things have about eight or nine grounds to them . Can’t wait to get it started. I want to do something like that 68 but with all the SRT upgrades.
I'll say it time and time again, if companies would make a throwback body style with updated electronics and engines if necessary. the profit would be UNREAL
That's the body style dodge should have built the new chargers, very nice ride..
That was what confused me more than a decade ago when they first were released... And then other brands did rereleases of older names... and it was/is hell (bronco may be the only debatable exception)
I guess dodge didn't want a similar look with the challenger.
They did. It’s called a challenger
@Abraham Pérez
Yea but the challenger and charger in 68 was so similar looking. So that's why they made a new charger body for 2017
@@dcomputers they definitely didn't look similar in 68, as the Challenger wasn't introduced til '70
Perfect blend of vintage and modern
Dat junt tufff🔥
No, the interior is fucking ugly, hellcat steering wheel has always been Bulky as fuck and looked like shit, its just plain fucking boring, the old interior wouldve looked 10x better

Exactly what I’m thinking
Yea all the interior stock except for the dashboard. That would’ve been nice

How a true hellcat should look

literally one of my dream builds. beautiful work man hope she treats you well when all is said and done 💯
I love how well the new interior fits in the old body
I love it
I'd keep the old school interior but I respect how well you managed to fit the new dash and seats
It looks like it came stock with the car
That's a cool build definitely worth buying for a good price and figuring out the gremlins
Red engine looks like a giant first aid kit, all blacked out block heads and manifold would have been crazy but still amazing
Definitely too much red, some nice aluminum or black to break it up would’ve looked a lot better
The interior swap is sick.
You may have to remove the SIM card and do a full data reset 😏🤣🤣🤣

the modern interior with the classic outer body just WORKS.
Now thats a nice ass charger right there
I am amazed. Instrument cluster too? Insane.
Check the readings from the brake switch with a volt meter
Great job!!! Classic body style and new technology under the hood 👍👍👍
that’s a clean ass whip
Wow what a dream car someone is very fortunate to own that thing
Having the hellcat gauges, push to start, and steering wheel swapped over looks awesome
100 percent ruins the classic feel
I'd like it more personally if it just kept the original Hemi.
From what I've heard you have to have the entire steering column assembly to do a hellcat swap on any vehicle
@@killer_duke_9178 why
@@coopermoreton6993maybe, but they don't all need that... this thing is beautiful... 😭
I think that so cool a old car but has all the stuff like the new cars

😂 ok bud whatever you say
Ha ha. Brilliant.
😂🤣 I don’t think he would of tried that yet good thinking 😂😂 see your the type of mechanic that gives the rest of us bad names
I like the combination old body style but new interior nice work my guy.
You sure it's a 68? It's got a 69 Grille, both beautiful !
If it has the round marking lights it's a 1968
it isn't a 68 or 69 it is a new challenger with a second-generation charger body
@theblackcelt no it’s not
@@BoostedMotorsports yes it is.
@theblackcelt I built it I obviously know the car bud
This is badass!!!!!! I fucking LOVEEE seeing old cars built with new technology
I need this guy to transform my '69!
That Charger is looking sweet bro. 💯
I’m wondering how many ground wires were missing when the install of the hemi goodness was put in the car!!!??????
That is a really cool concept, Modern dash and motor. But an old trusty frame and body.
Hell of a job
Is it a '68 bc it has a '69 grille. Yes that's right that is a 1969 grille, a '68 grille I'd flat with no peak in the center.
No round marker lights in fender either.
If you watch full video on this it also has 69 tail lights
Insane combo 🔥🔥🔥☄️ the most classic dodge with the highest performing engine

Wow man good luck in the future bro
Them classic muscles are too Damn nice

That's a 69.
Or at least it's a 69 grill.
69 was the only 2nd Gen Charger with a split grill.
Looks suspiciously like a ‘69 with that grille and those scallops.
The lip guards just ruined it 😂

It's so awesome, my dream car has always been a 68 camaro ss with a modern z06 drive train

I waited my whole life for this thank u somebody finally did it 😊😊
Beautiful build man!
That body style is iconic! I’ll take one.

The FCA design steering wheel absolutely threw me off, well done
I think more people or at least the manufactures should start building more of these older models with the newer engines & modern interiors

That’s a 69 based off the grille I think, either way that’s a badass car man!
That dodge charger reminds me of batmobile from the batman (2022) because it was inspired by 1969 dodge charger. Also, the car looks so awesome. 😀👍
