This movie was produced by Zoyuzkinokronika (later known as Central Studio) and features footage from 1935 spliced with additional footage shot in 1937-38. (At the time there was a showcase celebrating Chkalov's first successful non-stop flight to USA.) The film portrays the Central Park of Rest and Recreation of Maxim Gorky in Moscow, now known as Gorky Park, and its highlights. It contains a rare glimpse @2:40 at the early Soviet advertisement culture, much deplored by the contemporary writers, which aggressively featured slogans and mascots, and which was unknown and forgotten by the postwar USSR.

What a facade for the masses and the forigeners. Well fed, well clothed citizens enjoying recreation in the workers paradise. Where is Lubyanka prison from here? That's more truthful of what really is going on. Meanwhile, 3 to 10+ million Ukrainians have starved to death by design of the Soviets and Stalin.
Reminds me of recent videos of Pyongyang... water parks, well fed children of the party faithful playing.
Meanwhile, in the countryside starvation and brutal camp internment while the maximum and supreme leader frets over South Korean pop music.
These people look so innocent and happy; they don’t know what is coming. There is propaganda here, but this is still very poignant. So much was lost and destroyed by a few years later by various conflicting hardline ideologies.
