Delta has better customer service. It’s sad because American Airlines is a legacy and Delta just out paces them when it comes to service

As others have said, it's really sad that Delta decimated their rewards program. That said, the actual experience with Delta is always head and shoulders above both United and American. So, if your only goals is points/rewards, then perhaps fly American. However, if you actually want to be treated with a modicum of dignity while at the airport and in the air, then Delta remains a worthy choice.

I’m not a high frequency traveler but very bad experience I have heard has been delta. I’m flying delta first time this next week. A little nervous

@@zachattack83 Interesting.... I'm sorry you've had bad experiences on any airline. Most high-frequency travelers (as well as almost every customer satisfaction survey) say that Delta is the best of the three. Still, that doesn't deny your reality. I truly hope this upcoming trip is better for you. Please let us know.

Totally agree. I'm also torn now since moving to Dallas. American seems to have consistently more affordable flights and options than Delta. I appreciate the value but you get what you pay for.

@@dominiquemcshan5168 That makes sense since DFW is not only an American Airlines hub, it's also their world headquarters, so their options would be considerably greater at DFW than any other airline.

I'm Delta Diamond ad they have treated me well over the years. But the recent changes to the program, and the extremely high redemption values on Delta will mean I will migrate to other airlines in 2024. But it has been a good ride.

Same for me. I am a Delta million miler and live outside the US where use of the credit cards Delta pushes is not feasible. I see that the loyalty Delta talks about is in one direction only. Delta is now more of a credit card company which happens to own airplanes.

Does Delta still have entertainment screens? I hate that American removed those!

Delta does on most flights I’ve taken with them recently. They even give out free earbuds if you want to watch something on it. We had it from our leg to Seattle from SLC, as well as a very nice one on our leg from Seattle to Japan. Same going back. I don’t mind it being removed from American since I just use my iPad for movies and shows anyway. But if they were going to remove it to cut costs, then pass those cost savings onto the customer.

Delta Diamond saying goodbye at the end of this year. I’ll still fly with them a few times next year. Inaugural flights and such.

I’m a huge fan of Delta but dislike what’s happening with their relationship with Amex. I do NOT want to fly AA or United. They’re both horrible airlines.

So delta is just better cheaper to get status and better for same benefits
Especially sense all I really care about is maybe silver status which is simple to get with 2 delta cards

My friend.. You shouldn't compare them at all, American is one of the companies that cancel flights for everything, I stopped flying American a long time ago and I switched to Delta and I don't regret anything, and another thing, Delta's customer service leaves far far back to customer service of American

Both of these airlines are overpriced, and extremely expensive for no reason
