Wasted 14 years with Marriot because they still treat you like crap after decades of loyalty in platinum status. Now with Hyatt globalist, and I make my entire team stay in Hyatt when I travel with them since I run morning breakfast meetings and debriefs in the hotel meeting rooms. Too bad for Marriott, lost a valuable customer over a technicality of one freaking night stay argument.

Thank you for the valuable information. I knew you’re legit when you said Hyatt was the best. I have a very good experience with Hotel Loyalty programs. I’ve been lucky to reach the higher tiers and I’ll rank them from best to worst: Globalist with World of Hyatt Diamond Ambassador with IHG Platinum with Marriott Bonvoy (my brother is Ambassador Elite) Premium with Radisson rewards Platinum with Rotana Hotels (a middle eastern brand) (I’m also a member with Wyndham, Hilton, and other brands but I didn’t reach the higher tiers because I rarely stay with these brands) Hyatt’s loyalty program is way ahead of the game. They appreciate your loyalty and they are fair with collecting/spending points. For example: 25,000 points for a room in London’s The Churchill, or 12,500 + £200. It doesn’t fluctuate a lot and when it does, the difference is not that high. They don’t demean their clients like other programs. With Marriott bonvoy, nothing in central London is less than 70,000 … and they LOVE to embarrass/belittle their guests. They don’t show that special treatment you would expect from them after staying 100 nights in a year! Especially Sheraton Knightsbridge in London. Horrible hotel. They wouldn’t give you an upgrade if you paid with a discount from your company for example which shouldn’t matter at all! Even when you booked 5 rooms for two weeks! I had to cancel the second week and move to the Hyatt Regency The Churchill.

I have skymiles and trying to use them & credit card Delta America Express ti pay the Remainder. They won't allow me to do that. They told me I need enough Skymiles in the full to use them. What is the option of Miles + Cash

Please consider the following before you select your hotel rewards program: IMO, aside from the points systems, the Best Western, Choice Hotels and Wyndham are in a completely different quality category when compared to the others. Night and day experience at the low end, with hit and miss level of quality, which is also important to consider when choosing a Hotel program. The base room look and feel at many Marriot, Hilton and IGH sub-brands of properties are very similar, to the point if you were just standing in one of those rooms, you couldn't tell the difference between brands. For instance, Hampton Inn, Fairfield Inn and Holiday Inn Express all have very similar rooms.

The issue I have with United status is that there’s no PQP earning bonus for status unlike AA. To me that’s a key motivator for bothering with status is making it easier to re qualify each year

I think IHG point value is generally lower than Marriott and more close to Hilton. Hyatt point redemption is definitely better but doesn't give 4th or 5th night free upon point redemption.

Choice is a good choice ha ha. Currently I use Wyndham as primary and Marriott as secondary. I have the Wyndham earner plus credit card. Have been considering switching to choice and getting their credit card as they also use Wells Fargo and citi as transfer partners 1-2 ratio.
