I heard a true story once . That a cyclist punctured and I guess he wasn't a serious cyclist, because he repaired it with grass cuttings . And he found it quite successful as he was using it along time. I guess he took out the tube. Perhaps tom could do this

How do you fix 3 punctures on one ride? I have one spare tube , so that's one puncture. Any more I'm screwed. I can't imagine carrying 3 . I haven't punctured for years either . Wtf. Watch the road and avoid debris and shit . FFS

You probably don’t ride 5 hours heavy rain.. i always carry 2 in those circumstances as you’re more likely to puncture. But on top of that it was pure back luck..
