That edition of Fool's Fate!!!!!! OMG! It's one of the best fantasy novels out there, period.
I know! I found that in a tiny house bookshop in California crammed at the bottom of a random box in the back of a closet (worth digging for haha). It’s the book that launched me into content creation 12 years ago. I love it so much.
I think you went the right route with the sentimental choices. Those are some very special books!

Hard to argue with those. I'm surprised you were able to find a hardcover Red Seas, that's so cool. I feel the same about Rothfuss at this point, I hated on him for quite a bit but now I'm at the point in life where I rather just look back on what experiences I've had and appreciate them as they were, and it's undeniable I absolutely loved those books.
I don't think I'd stop to save any book in a fire, but then when I migrated I was forced to leave behind nearly my entire collection, so I don't have the attachment to my books I used to have. I'd probably grab my binder of Pokemon cards thats on the bookshelf 🤣
Oh yeah, I bet that helped make the books you have now a bit less sentimental. That would’ve been hard.
I’m lucky to have found a copy of Red Seas. I was specifically hunting for it for several years before chancing upon one. And it wasn’t terribly expensive either. I’m hoping to do the same with some of the other holes in my collection eventually.

I would love to get Empire of Black and Gold, Children of Time series and Licanius series from Broken Binding but need to save money for other special editions.
One of which is Tchaikovsky's newest book, Alien Clay. It is in transit to me now.
I’ve been having to pick and choose lately which ones to order - too many cool editions! My Children of Time isn’t the cool BB edition with the sprayed edges but I still like it. My copy of Alien Clay arrived last week and it’s as gorgeous as it looks online!!
