Seeing as you're in N Yorkshire you should go to Ingleborough caves Ingleborough waterfalls walk + Gaping Gill. You can get to gaping Gill if you park in Clapham, or to the waterfalls you can get there free if you park Kingsdale and walk from the valley rather than the town (have to pay for the waterfalls walk if you go from the town)

visited skipton a few months ago, (March) very nice area, although at the time it was freezing (but not wet) the market day is a treat
Glad to see some videos of my local area. If you are still in the area on Sunday flying scotsman will be on the mainline headed from York to carlisle and return.
OMG the castle was free the last time we went. Maybe you should have visited the Devonshire arms - interesting history. Red Lion did have good food and the chippy out the back door was good, also Eastwoods by the canal

Yeah, what's the deal with museums being closed on Mondays ? They're closed on Mondays here in the states too.
Probably because they open all weekend and its the quietest day for staff to have a day off. Its the same for barbers shops too.
