Great video of our beach, we watch your videos on our TV. & It's great to see other people enjoying Assynt. Flossie's beach store is normally open, but she's away, opening again Saturday. The highest tide is Today at 19:30 5.50 meters. Have you found the nuclear bunker? If you stand in front of Flossie's beach store on the road, walk up on the right, up the sand dunes, when on the top keep going right & you should see a vent sticking up & a lid to lift up. Don't be tempted to venture down, in case of low oxygen levels. Good luck.☢️😀

They were designed to house two military personnel from the Signal Corp ( if my memory serves me well) their role, in the event of a nuclear attack was to stay in the bunker, measure radiation levels & radio the information back to headquarters. Maybe ask the site owner to direct you. We were shown it by the Assynt Ranger when we were carrying out voluntary work with him. We may come down to the beach tomorrow, we'll give you a wave 👋🏻👋🏻

Hi both m the water is so clear, I bet there must be some lovely things swimming around in there.. I agree loosing yourself with the outside world , and what we seem to just take for granted . Like you say you could get lost looking about in the water for hours, thanks so much for sharing with us, you have made Mazzy a very happy lady Dan with the extra days . Fingers x weather holds out while your there. It will just keep it extra special for you, I would say it shows someone doing a report doesn’t know what they are talking about, are you sure those wellies are long enough for deep water Dan and being big you may loose then if they fill with water .be careful .
