So I'm excited to finally present something I've been tinkering with for some time, in fact this was begun immediately after Still No Words with the intention of following reasonably close on its heels but I got stuck trying to figure out how to turn the idea into a full song in a satisfying way, so it ended up on the backburner for a while. Eventually I was able to figure out some kind of shape for the whole thing, which turned out to be kind of huge. I was even considering making it into some kind of EP release, but settled on just having it be one big song. Please do let me know what you think! I hope it takes you on an adventure as fun as the one I had trying to get it done.
LYRICS:
Do you feel the endless motion
Far beneath the earth while you are sleeping
Dream if you want to
Let your eyes grow dull and heavy
You may peer into the darkness
Gaze into the endless motion
There is something in the moonlight
High above your head and all around you
Sing if you want to
Time will call you back and back again
Are you sure you know the melody
Stay in everlasting motion
Enrobed in light and full of splendour
A further course now shall you take
You may venture into darker atmospheres
And you will know us when you wake
But you have to play your role
It’s understood the things that you’ll do
Cannot be foretold
But nonetheless a great many things
Are in our control
And if we were to show you them all
It could make you whole
If only you’d give us your soul
Inside a dusky palace courtyard
She tries to find a melody
She tends to think she’s all alone there
And wishes somebody could see
The heat is wearing down the piano keys
The strings are rusting as the sand comes in
It’s like a dream how fast the music changed
The story can’t be heard above the wind
But something’s there behind her eyelids
A sense of darkness in the air
And voices singing deep inside her head
Too late to help but not to share
The regent asks too many questions
The servants drink and talk of bills to pay
And in the courtyard there is happiness
For she has lived to dream another day
Used to be so cold
And now the measure of the secrets you know
Is something to behold
Do you wonder how the life that was hers
looks so dim and old
you only need to do one more thing
To let it all unfold
You just have to give us your soul
We thank you for your contribution
It’s very luminous and warm
You’ll be prepared for more instructions
And bring the rest into the swarm Видеоклипы
oh man I was not expecting a 11 minute song.
I was as surprised as anyone.
very cool, also always nice to see someone buck the radio approved length of songs.
I always get excited to see a new replacer song in my sub box :D
That was completely and absolutely FAR OUT! And I haven't used that term in over 40 years. A truly new level of excelence Replacer. Truly candy for the ears.
Man, I love a lot of different bands and artists, but no one else makes me feel so at peace as you do. Another amazing track with a dream-like aesthetic. Please don't ever stop.
dreams are a subject matter near to my heart. Some parts of this song are actually based on music I remembered hearing in a dream, which is something I'm quite pleased about.
Replacer goes progressive. Love it!
Seems only fitting that I bought a brand new pair of headphones yesterday and then this appears in my sub box? Couldn't think of a better way to break them in.
Also holy hot damn this is amazing
very nice, happy listening!
The 70s/80s prog rock vibes oh my gosh
Selling England By The Pound and Foxtrot and all those albums
@@replacer _Can you tell me where my country lies_
Indeed! :3 I recently went to another gig of a Genesis tribute band called "The Watch", they're so good and they did a full gig centered around the Peter Gabriel era, was so awesome! They did the whole 20-minutes _Supper's Ready_ too!
Self harmonizing is my favorite sound, and with your voice, there are no words to describe my emotions. Glorious as always!
that's really sweet! vocals were pretty challenging this time.
Hey, I'm really glad you're still with us, making music. Keep doing what you're doing
WOW ! I regret waiting a day before listening to this now.
That was quite a ride. Wasn't sure what to think at first with the choir/chant-ish intro combined with the spacey synths since it was pretty different from a lot of your other songs, but it sounded great and I loved where the song went. Also, I've always loved your lyrics. The part about the girl in the courtyard was fantastic. Anyways, I'll definitely be listening to this for a while. Top tier song Replacer.
thanks, coming up with half decent words is definitely the most difficult part for me
Yo......
Yoooooo.....
YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO......
I feel early Pink Floyd vibes here. I totally love it.
All I can say. Is I love it. I remember your first stuff in 2011. I grew up, got slightly out of being a brony and then thought. I wonder how all my favorite artists are. You were on my top I would say. Laid back and up beat music has always been my favorites. So to see you are still alive and kicken it down with your hands is so awesome to see. Keep up the good work my man!
Some 70's early-synth kinda vibes from this, mighty long too! Very nice!
i started crying 1 minute thru. i love your songs.
Why is everything you release so damn good??
*gives soul*
Add mine to the bucket.
I get a feeling that this was intended to be an erratic, yet an armonic tune, showing two sides of a coin in terms of how the story unveils
If that was the case, I must tell you I'm impressed with the message!
Dang what a masterpiece. It kind of reminds me of Keep Calm and Canter On in that it's somewhat prog/everchanging yet very coherent with itself. Great job man, loving it
You've done it again! Distilled dreamy essence and infused it into prog. Excellent work on the vocals; the lyrics fit the music very well. I can't describe how happy hearing this makes me. Thanks, replacer
getting a real Miracle Musical vibe
Loving it....all 11 minutes of it!
Dis is gonna be good. Better grab the high quality headphones
good headphones are the key to life
Oohhhh this song is so sweet, from beginning to end, such a delight ! i always love your voice, so inspiring! :)

What an incredible music experience
I'm not into the fandom. But my son introduced me to Replacer, and man does he know how to make interesting music!
Seriously excellent song, my dude. Wonderful composition and layers of rhythm on this thing, I absolutely love the grooves. Keep it up!
thanks! despite the sprawl I think it ended up all hanging together pretty well
soul:
touching
relaxing
original
beautiful
experimental
Aaah this song is perfection.
I don't even know what kind of songs you make, because they are all amazing! THIS SONG IS AMAZING!!! I'm getting a "I'm floating in space" vibe
Awesome, I loved it.
Replacer, you are a master of your craft.
G'stuff, Replacer! I hope you're well! :)
I'm ready for this
Your songs are always a delight, keep up the good work!
This is awesome!!
Listened to this sooo much, love every second. Dropping in to thank you for this masterpiece
OMG очень хорошо!!!
Amazing
Amazing.
It sounds like "NEU", "Can" or some like that)
Shared it!
Everyone of my friends must to listen it!
Hadn't listened in a while before yesterday, and reawakened my appetite for one of my all-time favourite artists.
Here you are, failing to surprise as always, with the most relaxing and calm melodies I need on days at work the very next day.
Love every second, and hope it was worth all the effort - thanks for your continuing embodiment of everything blue!
P.s. Love the harp.
I adore that sound too, a physical modelling synth is doing that. one of my new favourite toys I think
Pretty cool!
Gives me Super Mario RPG vibes...
Wow as always great work.
I love your music /)
You can reverse the end sequence for a little bonus solo. I don't think it's a reference to anything, at least I don't recognize it from anywhere.
I'm glad I was awake for the notification! Thanks for your work, as always :D
i found that the vaporwave factor increases by a lot if you slow certain parts down by about 40%
what a pleasant surprise!
Wow
Funny that, I have a song that's been on the backburner for a while
It's 6 minutes long so far
Glad to see finishing that kind of endeavor yields nice results
Now that I think about it, this song says exactly what I've been thinking as I got sucked into the grind of the well oiled machine's gears.
Don't give up Skeleton, we're skeletons too
mhmm, keep on keeping on ^^
Why do I just find this now? It's beautiful!
Aaand it takes the spot of longest song I have on my phone, thus beating When Our Bodies Wash Ashore by Aviators (9:33) x)
curious, but good jeje
Lit boi, I like the feel
God this is so relaxing thank you!
not too depressing I hope
@@replacer Absolutely not!
Serendipity: new Replacer on the day I get new headphones. Had to kick back and just listen to this one.
seems like quite a few people in the comments with good headphones today.
*Looks at my collection of Yes, Rush, and Pink Floyd songs* Eeyup, this is a song of decent length
prog energies
(and not JUST because it's 11 minutes long)
gods i need to know the full list of time signatures for this
@@SunroseStudios it's a short list actually - 6/4 for the majority of it and 5/8 in the bridge
and yes I was definitely feeling the prog energy
@@replacer those are good time signatures!
Good for you that you've found your very own style, but i have to say i miss your old stuff.
Thanks for the comment! I'm curious, what song(s) of mine do you like best?
Song for an Earth Pony, Cerulean Blue, No Words are the ones i like best as well as the remixes you did. I couldn't tell you why though. It just feels as if those songs belonged to another genre altogether. That change seems to happen to most musicians though.
@@Gnarrkhaz ah yes I know what you mean. Well it's interesting because I'd consider the aesthetics of those three songs fairly unique from each other also, though they share a kind of innocence that definitely hasn't been as prominent whenever I've organised myself into doing a song in recent times. Those old values are important to me though, so I'm sure if I keep swimming I'll eventually wash up on that shore again :)
Nostalgia is a hell of a thing, isn't it? Anyway, thanks for your work. Believe me when i tell you you're lucky to have the talent to back up your passion.
Wow, nice! :O
Also, there is no way to buy/download on bandcamp, only listen.
haha whoops, fixed
Mmm, delicious 5/4 time
Not a brony but, i know a good song. and this is one.
This song is great for just getting lost in work. Do any of your songs have sheet music available? I'm just generally interested in it
How did you do the sound wave in the middle of the screen? If you used a program, then what program and are there any free alternatives to it?
I use adobe after effects to do animations - there are definitely some free programs that do similar things but I don't know too much about them, probably best if you google around :)
Ok, thanks for your help! :)
my proudest fap yet
well, I'm honoured.
Cool, a little too long for my taste, but good anyways
OwO
Quite experimental.
