You guys don’t understand that not only is belle the main vocal she also does a lot of high notes during the last chorus. There isn’t a lot of rap so Julie has less lines and Haneul doesn’t do the high notes so she doesn’t get those extra lines
Haneul also said that she isnt the most comfortable doing sexy and bold concepts
Yeah, belle do most all the adlibs so it's normal she automatically more line
I think people don't understand. When it comes to line distribution the vocal colors are of the important factor. In the case of kiof, all of them can sing so the producers distribute the lines to a member who suited the part. I do agree that Haneul should get more lines but logically speaking, if your vocal color doesn't match a part that's given to you, the song will be unbalanced and allover the place.

They are from a small company, Belle got mega hyped when they debuted for winning an award and recognized as a composer with killer vocals, natty got meeeeeega boost in her popularity (and we can't even be like oh she was a solo artist before so she already had a fan base bc that's hardly the case her solo career was as nugu as it could be) when sugarcoat was released bc let's face it it's a fucking bop. So of course the company will go for the viral member because it will be more profitable.
Haneul is a better singer than Natty but she was super duper unknown when they debuted. My girl is having her viral moment after their appearance in Nathan's show with their touch my body and her solo cover so maybe with an increase in popularity she will manage to snatch a least a first place or at least sing more in their songs. She has the "Korean beauty" so I'm sure with the right push she will be able to reach a bigger fan base and the company will let her shine more.
By that logic, why even have certain members in the group if their voices just don’t match the songs that they are releasing enough to warrant getting more lines. I understand skill determining who gets most more often, but comments about tone and ‘matching’ or ‘suiting’ often just comes across as weak excuses to justify certain members always being under utilised.
@@Lewis-hl9qw cause vocal colors and vocal rage are the main thing producers base their distribution of lines. For example lily from nmixx, she has many lines in title tracks but in dice she has the least lines because her vocal color didn't really much the songs vibe and because it's a rap base song. Other is sullyoon, she's last in o.o and party o'clock but she's first in dice and roller coaster.
@@Lewis-hl9qwlet’s take nobody knows and bad news for example, bad news has a powerful chorus. Haneul’s voice goes perfect with powerful songs therefore she was given those lines. Nobody knows is more RnB based, objectively Natty and Belles have the vocal tones that is perfect for RnB which is why sugarcoat blew up, therefore they were given the most lines as they had the sultry vocal tone which really brought the song to life. It’s not always that someone’s vocal tone doesn’t fit the song, it could be just that someone else’s fits that bit of the song more. I feel like S2 are failing to understand that Haneul would be able to take on the powerful notes and bits that require belting but when it comes to RnB songs, it’s not the type of song that would make her vocal tone shine but she still sounds really good. Songs like Younha’s are perfect and I fully believe had they given her a solo song similar to that it would have showacased her vocals better.
it's less than 40 seconds between Haneul and Julie, if Haneul has more lines than Julie in 2 or 3 songs she gets 3rd place. I don't think the gap is big enough for people to get alarmed.

Why is everybody acting like it's the end of the world because Haneul didn't get enough lines? She's got plenty.
It's not like S2 entertainment completely abandoned and ignored her. KIOF generally gives off a mature kind of vibe which doesn't really match with Haneul's 2000s doll vibes. It of course would make more sense for the other 3 members to get more lines. " But shes a lead vocalist!! " Yea but Haneul's vocal tone probably didn't match the cb vibes their going for. Vocal tone matters a lot. Someone could be a crazy good vocalist but if their vibes are not matching the songs it won't be a hit. But even with "little" lines, She can shine bright if the concept fits her. Like Midas Touch's era. It was completely her style which was why Haneul completely devoured. So stop with saying the other members have "favouritism" when the sole reason they got more lines was because they were more fitted for the concept.
As if Haneul isn't fitted to the sexy concept... Have you seen theyre relay dance of The Eve or watched a fancam of her during Nobody Knows?

You have to understand that as the group expands into different musical concepts and genres, that such members will have more lines regardless of their official positions. Before Midas Touch, the group was going for an R&B style, and Natty is the most certain idol to fit into this style, it's no wonder that Sugarcoat became a big hit for the group.
Haneul's vocal colour matches so many of their songs perfectly and they don't utilise her well, and even if her vocal colour was the issue, why would they never give us songs that mesh well with it when shes the lead vocal? You'd think they'd give her more than 2 songs that match her vocal colour(even though that's not even an issue).

eh. She gets a lot of lines. It's not like she's pushed completely to the side. She's the least popular member and it makes sense for more lines to be given to more popular members to gain fans. It's messed up but sadly it works. Vocal colour also matters a lot, and sometimes the other 3 just have vocal colours that suit the song more. If Hanuel was only getting 10-15 seconds of lines per song, this would be a different story. But she's not completely ignored, she gets her time to shine. We need to stop pitying the members who get the least lines because there's almost always a valid reason behind it.

@@krswizardsfreak7192thats technically speaking. vocal range is a whole different thing, and belle's vocal range and her light approach to higher notes, in opposite of Haneul, make it easier for her to do certain notes. Not saying that Haneul can’t sing well or can’t do adlibs, I just feel like she has lines that suit her the best and that suit her vocal range and that’s what a LEAD vocalist is supposed to be doing

Because Natty’s vocal tone is probably one of the trendiest rn. Natty’s lines don’t require you to be a main vocal, her lines are more groovy, sultry and RnB based and she’s Kiof’s best RnB singer which is why she gets quite a bit of lines. Especially after the success of sugarcoat, their company now includes more RnB in their discography. Regarding rapping, Julie gets all the rap lines as she the only rapper in the group and it’s her main position so idk where that came from..
