People forget about Champ Bailey. And as cliche as it is - it’s very true: PEOPLE FORGET CHAMP BAILEY. Was the perfect corner & was on the most athletically gifted players ever with the IQ to match. Was an a transcendent two way player in high school and college at Georgia. KR, PR, WR, RB - Yes - he played running back a couple times - Man to Man or Zone Corner Back & possibly the greatest Tackling corner of all time, Besides Night train Lane. Champ could do it all. Had he been in this era he would be seen like Travis Hunter but better. He was took the mantle from Deion Sanders and Darrell Green.
Champ Bailey and Charles Woodson. Top two favorite corners. As a Chiefs fan one was on the raiders and the other on the broncos. I still loved seeing them play
Absolutely agree. IMO easily a top 100 player of all time. And a top 20 defensive player ever. Maybe controversial but Hey. He could do everything as a corner. Man, Zone, Tackle, track Speed, had legit hands of a Wide Receiver. I know it’s cliche to say but no He actually played WR and RB at multiple levels of football when put in on offense!
